  7. Oh my goodness, that is about 8 people having their surgeries tomorrow, wow, good luck to all of you.
  8. I knew there would be withdrawals from caffeine, sugar etc but BAM this hit me today with a mother of all headaches. I don't think I got enough Water in and now I am paying the price. It gets better, easier, right?
  9. Has the time gone quickly? How has it changed the way you think. I hope you can melt those aliens away. Well done on your losses so far.
  10. I'm also using the Baritastic App. I'm on day 11 of my pre-op diet, which doesn't seem like one compared to everyone else's. I've fallen into this routine with it: Breakfast: "full" Protein shake: made with soy (or unsweetened almond) milk, one scoop Protein powder, and 1 tbsp of chia seed powder. If I use vaniila protein powder, I also add a 1/2 cup of frozen berries, like strawberries or raspberries to the shake (which I'm allowed). If I use chocolate protein powder, I also add some PB Peanut Butter powder (yum) and maybe half a banana. Morning "snack": Syntrax nectar Protein Drink. It's just Water and the powder, but tastes great. I drink one of these throughout the morning. Lunch: Right now I've been eating 100g (4oz) of some high quality salmon (or tuna) sashimi, with a side of cooked spinach and/or green salad. The last two come from the open deli section of my supermarket where I work. If I plan ahead, then I'll cook lunch which will be poached chicken or salmon on a bed of lettuce with some olive oil (1tbsp) for dressing. Afternoon snack: Another Syntrax protein drink and/or a bottle of herbal tea (lots of varieties here in Japan). Dinner: Surprisingly, I'm often not hungry for dinner, and have gone with just a Syntrax drink or tea and I'm usually okay. But my NUT wants me to keep my calories above 1200 each day, so to do that I'll either have some veggies (cherry tomatoes, etc.), gobo (burdock) salad, and/or maybe some chicken, fish, or thinly-sliced roast beef from the supermarket. I have lost 12 pounds so far, but my NUT says the focus is not on losing weight, but shrinking the liver and establishing an alkaline environment for the stomach. Is that day 11 of 14? Well done, Im on day 1, lol, feels a long way away.
  11. is the 10,000 steps a day your goal or the Dr's. Wishing you all the best. Mine, the doc wanted me to get at least 7,500 but wants to see it increase. Also want excessive 3 days par week 30 minutes.. How bout you? Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App Today was day 1 pre-op for me and it was ok. I was surprised that it can be difficult to meet the protein quota and I was also very surprised by the calories in everything, I mean EVERYTHING! I started tracking today too. I got my 10000 steps today but that was because I swam for 29 minutes. Overall feeling ok if I don't think about food
  12. Sending you lots of positive thoughts, I hope all goes well. Suddenly it is all getting very real.

  15. Fantastic! Way to go, and keep going!
  16. Ok so don't laugh but I purchased a box of surgical masks at the pharmacy this week to wear in the week before. I have had a cold and cough and when I saw the anaesthesiologist he said, "get rid of the cough or be sure I will send you home" OMG. So I am reducing the amount of time spent out and about and wearing the masks at home because my kids are constantly bringing home germs from school, lol. Best of luck. Rest up.
  17. you are right, it is NOT the easy way out. I think all the PRE stuff is to make sure our mental approach has changed and is ready for new beginnings. I am curious what was on your supply list? It's funny because I am hear researching types of Protein for vegetarian Snacks etc.
