  1. Increasing water intake helps reduce this problem for some people. I try to drink 80 oz or more a day. Don't always get there, but my skin isn't a crepey as some people and I've lost a little over 150. My doctor still advises me to increase fluids tho.
  2. I am raising my grandchildren who were 3 and 6 at time of surgery. I told them from the day I decided to do this. Immediately my grandson and I started measuring my waist. (How big/little the gap was before he could completely get his arms around me!) I love it! We love it! Of course they said things like when will I be skinny or your butt is big. They don't understand ideal or goal weights. They do understand that there is no way to say someone is fat. So we don't say it. I had surgey 10/16 and still 70 lbs from goal. And now they tell me I am sooo skinny. Lol
  3. Dr. Cabrera, Mexico Bariatric Center 1-855-768-7247. He is amazing. I spent 2 nights in hospital and 2 nights at hotel. Dr also visited patients in hotel. Staff was great. Whole experience was great. Good luck and do your research. They have specials all the time and even have buddy discount. How cool is that?
  4. I ad 2 drops lemon flavored essential oils by Young Living to 16 oz or 3 dropps to 20 oz. What a difference in taste!!!!
  5. Did you have plastic to remove excess skin? You look awesome! HW 350 SW 301 CW 214 GW 140
  6. I had surgery in Mexico with Dr. Cabrera Oct 3, 2016. I am a very succesful small business owner. My health insurance would not cover the surgery so after MUCH research, I chose Mexico Bariatric. My surgeon, hospital staff and overall experience was awesome. I would recommend Dr. Cabrera and Mexico Bariatric to anyone considering the surgery. Mexico Bariatric is an American based company. And I failed to mention I am a registered nurse with 20+ years experience and my business is in medical field.
  7. I use measuring cup for everything but meat. I use a pocket scale to weigh meats. Bought mine at "head shop." They looked at me with doubt when I told them I just needed one to weigh my food. Lol.
  8. I hained 15 lbs immediately post op. Was only air, fluids and inflammation from surgery. Lost that plus at about 2 weeks out. STAY OFF SCALES FOR ABOUT A MONTH

  19. Unjury is good. Kinda expensive but I really enjoy Whey from Wal-Mart and Kroger. Cost is good too. I like the banana flavor. I ad 8 oz almond milk, and 8oz water to one scoop. Sometimes I'll put 1/2 frozen banana. REALLY good.
  20. Weigh in: 233 Goal: 224 Todays date: 2/24
  21. Awesome. Party at doingit4me2017!!!! Great job. Don't buy too many new clothes and don't keep em in closet once you can't fit em anymore. I bought a few brand new pieces that I paid good $ for, and found out early on what a waste. I inly wore them once or twice. I sooo love going to consignment and thrift stores knowing I'm gonna find something cute I can wear and it won't break the bank.
  22. You look amazing. This journey has been a blessing for me as well. I'm 4.5 monthes out too and the changes are sooo welcomed. Hw 350 sw 301 cw 235. Though I am in a stall, I feel amazing. Golfing, walking, playing basketball with grandson and dancing with grand dtr. Things I always said "I'm too tired" to do. Wish I would have done this sooner. No longer on meds for diabetes. Praise God. I go up and downstairs without holding railing or stopping to catch breath. Can't imagine what I'm gonna feel like when I get in the 100s. God bless and thanks for sharing.
