At what point does "normal" food start going down easily?

Do you think a 4 hour car ride would be ok? Should I be worried about blood clots? We would stop halfway and walk around.

Yes. Mine do. I have been gently scratching around the steri-strips. It seems to be helping.

Yes. I am. Every time I sip anything - I get like 5 seconds of pain in my stomach. I got home about 2 hours ago and took a nap. Then I walked around the house (inside) for a few laps. I haven't tried my protein shake yet. Maybe soon. I'm feeling much better today. Yesterday was rough.

South Nassau Community Hospital has a support group which meets on the first Tuesday of the month at 7pm.

It's tough. Sometimes I think ok not too bad and other times I'm starving. I'm allowed 4 shakes and one bar per day with broth, sf jello and sf ice pops. That's all. I want this week to be over. I'm a little bit nervous for Monday, but not too bad.

Starting week 2 of the pre-op diet today. One more week until surgery. [emoji15]

I am struggling with this right now. I have only told my husband, 2 children and best friend. Not sure if I am going to tell my brothers or my mother in law. Ugh. Struggling to figure it out and I am running out of time. [emoji12]
