  1. I worked for Tricare for 4 years as a RN health care finder. Have you called Tricare and told them about the hospital and doctor? I am not sure if it is legal to pick and choose what services they will accept payment for because they have a contract with Tricare. Like I said I am not sure if it is legal but it wouldn't hurt to call Tricare to find out. GOOD LUCK
  2. Thank you for all your input. After some of the replies I drank fluids only and felt a little better. When I went to my doctor yesterday he thought I was too tight and took out 1/2cc to make a total of 4 1/2 cc in my 10cc band. I feel great like a new person. Thanks
  3. I was banded 1-10-2008 and since April 4th I have had intermittent severe nausea and for the past 7 days I have been nauseated constantly. I wake up and go to sleep feeling extremely nauseated. I have had dry heaves several times a day. I can't eat until afternoon and only a small amount because I am not hungry. I eat to try to help with the nausea. I have taken the best meds for nausea with minimal results. I haven't called my MD yet but will on Monday. I do not have burning and can tolerate food if I chew thoroughly and eat later in the day. Do you have any idea what is the problem? I would appreciate any suggestions or comments. Thanks
  4. Hi this is my first time asking a question. I was banded 1-10-08 I did not have any restriction until my 3rd fill on March 17th. Now the only time I feel restriction is when I do not chew my food enough. I can eat quite a bit of food but try to eat protein and vegetables only. I have not lost any weight since the fill? Wt loss prior to last fill was 19# with a starting weight of 207. Any suggestions?
  5. Dear Weetsin, I thought I had replied to you but now I am not so sure. Not only do I need info on the lap band but also on posting to forums! To answer your questions the totals I gave you were the total he filled with. First fill a total of 3.5 cc and second fill total of 4.5cc. Yes it seems I am losing Fluid each time. I am concerned that I may need further surgery and with my cardiac problems that would not be an easy solution for me. Have you ever heard of anyone with a loss of fluid?
  6. Hi I have never done this before so hope I know what I am doing. I had my lap band surgery on 1-10-2008. Unfortunately I have only felt restrictions for a few days after surgery and a few days after my two fills. My last fill was Monday March 3rd and felt the restriction for one day. When I got my first fill February 11th there was only 0.5cc of fluid. The doctor filled with 3 1/2cc. At my appointment on the 3rd there was only 2cc fluid left and he filled with 4 1/2cc. I am thinking about making another appointment for next week. Has anyone else had this problem this number of times?
