May 15th, 2017 Sleevers Check in Here!!!
Good morning y'all. I'm itching to weigh myself but I won't. I love waking up and my stomach is almost flat laying down. Lol. My arms aren't so jiggly anymore, nor are my thighs. I've noticed that it must have been a phase where it gets all jiggly. Things are starting to firm up again, but I still have a good amount of fat to get rid of, so my guess is that I may or may not have a jiggly moment again. We shall see. My shoes are continually getting smaller. My feet are sliding in them. I don't want to buy any shoes though, not yet. One thing I haven't tried on, is my wedding ring. I'm almost scared too. I don't want to be disappointed if it doesn't slide on or if it does that it is super tight. I keep telling myself to get it out and try it and end up forgetting. I don't remember what weight I was when I last wore it. I was 155 lbs when I married, so...I'm probably (guessing here) that I'm about 210 maybe? Hopefully less. But anyway, if that, then I'm still 55lbs away. I can't tell any difference in my fingers though, very hard to tell since they've always been small and somewhat average, I guess. They have not ever been bony, I'm trying to say. So, with approximately 55lbs left, would you try on your wedding ring or would just wait?

Severe hip pain one year after surgery
This must be why I still do my workouts ignoring the pain anyway....I don't do vigorous ones, cardio wise, and my pain stay relatively low. If it's too high, there's no way I'm working out. Glad you weighed in on this...

Office Pitfalls and Hazards - I need help avoiding these!
I second every one else. I don't work in a corporate office anymore, but I know the challenges, I fell prey to all of office food laying around in the past. Now, I'm so thankful my boss is all about eating right/health and there's only 3 others in the office, who aren't really here, so it's just me. I don't have that challenge, but those who do, I commend you all for beating it! You've all come so far, wherever you are on your journey to let it go. Keep up the great work!

Severe hip pain one year after surgery
I have hip bursitis. In fact, it hurts now and most days. I do my best to not work it, so I do weights mainly. It hurts pretty bad when inflamed. Rest makes it feel better. The worse thing you can do is exercise it..it'll get more inflamed and hurt even worse. Rest it. This advice is from the doc and my lovely father who practices physical therapy. I know your MT was probably meaning well but that was the worst advice for an inflamed bursa!! I had tests and numerous appts over this...please rest it. I can't stress that enough Unfortunately, weight isn't what causes it, its repetitive movement. I believe mine is from all the years of working out, did the elliptical like a machine for a long while too. Im praying it just gets healed. Although I WAS taking pain meds for it and doing physical therapy. Even got a cortisone shot that helped, but that doc says "do more PT first, if it doesn't help, then come back" well, I don't like PT so I haven't been back. It was painful but I know I should go back. Anyway, I'm trailing on...sorry. Hope you find comfort.

Sooo.....Proteinaholic...oh man...if it doesn't get you thinking about health, about the western diet, and how we're so consumed about protein protein protein, I don't know what will. This book is so interesting!!! I highly recommend everyone to read it. Granted I'm only on the 3rd chapter but I've gotten so much out of it so far. It really makes you think about how obesity, diabetes, high blood pressures, and many other illnesses and diseases are factored from diet. I know this goes against the grain of almost all bariatric programs, nevermind....I want to go on, but I think with tidbits from me (and I will share), if anyone is truly interested, you should get the book. I was afraid it might be a boring like medical book. It is not. It's very easy to read and it's so on point, it's almost ridiculous of how we don't or didn't see it before...but we tend to go with what everyone else says, right? I'm just amazed at how far I've come with being open to the science behind plant based eating. I never thought it'd be me, definitely never thought it'd be my husband!!! Everyday he continues to say how well he feels. It's just amazing. Read the book! http://proteinaholic.com/

I really don't know since I haven't had to use them. I'd call your team just to be sure.- May 15th, 2017 Sleevers Check in Here!!!
I don't think you are either. Maybe to try adding a little something more, maybe a few complex carbs, as these won't make you want to eat more, but give you some good carbs in your body. Have you talked with your nut? Do you have an appt coming up soon too? youd be surprised about folks adding different foods to their diets and seeing stuff moving. If your inches are going down though, I wouldn't worry too much on the number on the scale. Eventually it'll catch up too.- May 15th, 2017 Sleevers Check in Here!!!
I was told to use milk of magnesia. I only used it onc though in the very beginning. I seem to be pretty regular these days.- May 15th, 2017 Sleevers Check in Here!!!
This is AWESOME news!!! I'm very glad to hear it...diabetes didn't have any right to be messing with your body in the first place. WHOO WHOO!!!!- For fun, please help! Clothing Size vs. BMI?
Pre op BMI 41, size 20 Post op BMI 35, currently, size 16ish....based on exercise/yoga pants.- May 15th, 2017 Sleevers Check in Here!!!
I love how much my grocery bill is lowered. I haven't really done the restaurant thing since surgery. When we do go, I don't order. It's either I'm not hungry or I just eat a few bites of my family's....the portions are really just too big, even the kids portions are. I do like eating my little portions too. I think it also helps me to realize that food isn't going to be my crutch. It's just enough to get my body fueled and I should learn to enjoy that little bit too.- May 15th, 2017 Sleevers Check in Here!!!
What are you eating daily? Sometimes 1-2 hundred more calories would break a stall. One lady recently couldn't break it, she was working out everyday and then some. She took the advice of slowing down and resting a couple days out of the week and the stall broke. So, it's finding that right balance to learn how to break one.- May 15th, 2017 Sleevers Check in Here!!!
Yeah, you can get it there. I just finished it. It's short and sweet ending and full of truth. I hope you enjoy it!- Making Exercise Easier
Absolutely! My dad always talks about this. He's been telling me this for the past ten years. He does PT for a living. Always about health and how the body is designed to move. Still to this day he does his weights and cardio most everyday. He's 63 now. despite the weight I added on the past 9 years, I give credit to my dad for instilling exercise in to me. I would work out with him as a child and go for long walks on the beach with him when I was a teen. He would put me on a weight lifting program (at my request) at the gyms I enrolled in during my 20's. He did well with me on this and I'm glad I at least have the love to work my body. I'm sorry bout your mom. I hope mine gets healed from cancer fast so she can have wls too. I can't stand to see her struggle moving and don't want to see her have to rely on a motorized chair. She's 60 now. Indeed, they are/were way too young!!!- 7 mos post op, divorced and 90 lbs gone ( pics)
Hey hey hey HOT MAMA!!! You look FABULOUS and HEALTHY too. Great job!!! You're free from pain, both the marriage and the previous weight. May God bless you overtime hon!!! Why? Because He loves you; that's all. Lol. I'm very happy for this new life you have. Enjoy it hon and be blessed. ?- Making Exercise Easier

Received my Proteinaholic book today! CNt wait to dig in, but I'm going to try and finish a small fiction book written by a woman from my church. Based off of her life, from being human trafficked from such a young age to how she got out. She now works in a ministry to help others who are in it. So far I've cried. It's called HELLO NAVI. I bought it at church after she gave part of her testimony, but it's on Amazon too. I've attached a pic. Back to wls news....nothing out of the ordinary diet wise today. My husband was rubbing my feet when he said my feet aren't as hard. Huh? So this is weird. Before I was always having to lotion up my feet, seemed like I couldn't keep moisture. Now I still do but yes, they're softer. Sooooo, could this be wls related or what? I don't know, but I'll take my not so hard feet!! Lol Next week I've got to go get blood work done. Then the week after I'll have my three month post appt. Seems like we've been stuck in the second month forever. Or am I getting it all wrong....we are in our third month??? Wait, 1 may to june 2 june to july 3 july to August ok. We're in our third. I was confusing myself. Lol- May 15th, 2017 Sleevers Check in Here!!!
Workout was great. I took it easy. A short walk on the treadmill and then 40 mins on the bike. I was so ready for bed too. Fell asleep fast. ? - Progress pics-almost at Goal
