Question about vomiting
I had my first experience today. I'm 11 days post op. Ate way too fast and the pain was incredible. After trying to walk it off while moaning in pain, a few easy throw ups relieved it. I guess I needed this lesson because it now has made me more aware of timing my meal. I don't want to go through that again ! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using the BariatricPal App

Scales are not moving!
11 days post op. Clothes are baggier but the scale is stuck! Only 5 lbs down since surgery. I walk 30 minutes a day and call are around 7-800. I'm getting my fluids and Protein. Trying not to get discouraged! Is this normal? Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using the BariatricPal App

First Post Op Doc Visit
I am 9 days post op and officially on soft foods for the next month. I am down 15 pounds, my incisions look awesome and I have very little discomfort from the surgery left. I am still building back my energy. I get to start on my supplements now as well. My surgeon told me that now I get my Protein from foods and no more Protein shakes. However, I know that it will be impossible to get that much protein in the small amount of food that I am able to eat so I am going to continue to rely on them for now. I am excited for this journey. I walk daily and it really helps me build on my energy level. Will start back to crossfit in mid January. I am ready to post a BIG weight loss and trying to be patient. Good luck to you all!!!

Slow Down!
Oh my goodness. I am so thrilled that I had this done on August 5th. But right now my biggest challenge is eating slowly! I am learning as we all know, it is very uncomfortable when you don't, but I am constantly reminding myself to slow down! I even bought baby spoons. It takes me two hours to get down a Protein shake after much practice of sipping. Today I moved to soft foods so I am trying to get in that habit as well. Thanks for all of your support. I really love getting on this site and seeking out advice.

One year surgiversary! So happy with the results!
Omg!! Thank you so much for your story. I am a low BMI at 35. I had my surgery Dec. 5th. I am so enthused by your story. I too am very active in crossfit, biiking and swimming but at 55 just couldn't keep the weight off. I seem to always be struggling with 30-50 pounds extra. I was afraid that I would lose the weight slowly or not all of it, but I am so stoked now after reading your story! Congrats, you look great!

What Were U Eating At 3 Weeks Post Op?
I am 7 days out. On day 10 I am to tradition to soft foods. However I got so sick of liquids and had to have some flavor. I just indulged in 2 Oz of hummus. It was wonderful. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using the BariatricPal App

Time to drink or eat
7 days post open and back at work, although not 100% by any means. It took me 3 hours to complete my morning Protein shake. Seems like as soon as I am finished, it is time to start on a snack or next shake. This will take some getting used to, but I am up for the challenge. On another note, I woke a few times during the night with a spasm on the internal side of my incision. I am presuming that was my actual stomach spazzing. Has anyone experienced this? Thanks for your feedback. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using the BariatricPal App

Everything listed in the previous replies, plus gas x strips that melt on the tongue. I used my robe a lot and took slippers as well. Good luck. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using the BariatricPal App

4 Days Post Op
I am very excited. I walked 30 minutes this morning, and the only discomfort I am experiencing if from the largest incision. I plan to go back to work on Monday. I went to full liquids this morning. I am feeling good and my energy level goes up a bit each day. Currently I am reaching out to all support groups as I plan to utilize these as much as possible.
