CIB has 130 calories and 5 gms Protein Horizon Organic FF milk has 90 calories and 9gms protein Total calories for one cup milk with one serving CIB 220 Total grams protein one cup milk with one serving CIB 14 So if you have four servings a day that will be 880 calories and 56 gms protein. Of course you can tweak this by using lo carb CIB and dairy products. But right after surgery most folks seem to struggle to get enough calories and protein. Of course before surgery is a different story. Just depends on how many calories and grams of protein your doc wants you to get each day. Mine wanted 40 - 60 grams protein. Myra

CIB - Carnation Instant Breakfast I used CIB also with skim milk. For the first few days after surgery it was all I could tolerate drinking. I bought a lot of Protein drinks prior to surgery to try them out, spent a lot of money, and I mean A LOT OF MONEY. But in the end it was for naught because I couldn't drink them My advice is don't go overboard searching for just the right Protein Drink. Isopure had a RTD protein drink that some folks like. It comes in flavors but the fav seems to be the grape. But again they are kinda expensive. Good Luck. Myra

I thought I posted this this morning but I guess it got lost. I found a BW spider on my patio last night but it ran in a hidey hole before I could kill it. This morning I smashed it with a fly swatter. Then I went around the house to check on another web I had spotted. My DOG ate the dead BW spider carcass. So I had to call the EMERGENCY ANIMAL HOSPITAL to see if I needed to take him in or if he was going to keel over from ingesting BW poison. Fortunately stomach acid neutralizes the poison. The moral of this story is the next time you see a BW spider throw up on the stupid thing.:cool: M

Donna even young biologically pregnant couples have incredible anxiety and fears and the same emotional rollercoaster of feelings. OMG that is so normal that it shouldn't be an issue. Yes you will regret and yes you will experience EXTREME joy but that is to be expected. Anytime we change and grow we go through that and you grow with your kids just as much as they grow with you. I was told by my OBGYN that I would never have biological children so my husband and I looked at family adoption. He has a nephew that has fathered children all across the USA and continues to do so I found out yesterday. We have been to lawyers about adopting etc only to have things not workout. So I can relate to your fear of potential disappointment. But you know Texas doesn't mess around and termination is termination. Your ready and understandably cautious. Good luck. Myra
