5 weeks post op.
Your bites may be too large and you may not be chewing your food good enough. My surgeons office recommends dime size bites and chewing until food is applesauce consistency.

Checking in tomorrow and starting to get really scared
You'll be fine. I was sleeved Jan 18th and my anxiety was so bad, I was nauseous for a week before surgery. I prayed in pre-op and went into surgery (still full of anxiety lol). My surgery went well, no complications and down 44 lbs. No more anxiety, just happy I did this for myself. You'll be fine tomorrow. Sending positive vibes your way.

Gaining weight pre op
My insurance or Surgeon didn't really stress weight loss during the 6 month time frame. A couple of months the scale showed a 1-3 lb increase, but as long as it wasn't more than that, they were okay. It can also be Water weight, so I don't see them being that strict unless it's written in docs from your insurance company Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G920AZ using the BariatricPal App

Weightloss Agents - BEWARE!
I hate that this happened to you all. Unfortunately, that's a risk you take when getting surgery done outside of the states. The cost may have been great, but look at all the hiccups that occurred prior to even getting surgery. Maybe try and find a Dr here in the states to help her post Surgery for follow ups etc. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G920AZ using the BariatricPal App

How much time have you taken off work?
My surgeons office highly recommends 2 weeks off, but if you need more time off they will update your leave paperwork. I have surgery 1/18 and will attempt to return to work 2/1. My surgeon says it's best to get back to your regular routine asap, especially if you work a desk job. Helps you heal faster. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G920AZ using the BariatricPal App

Methylprednisolone 6 weeks out
I haven't had my surgery yet so my answer may not apply, but I have been on steroids previously due to pain associated with my Lupus. I began at the end July of 2015 and by early December 2015 I had packed on nearly 50lbs. I craved foods...particularly sweets and carbs. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G920AZ using the BariatricPal App However...the steroids did manage my pain, but it definitely wasn't worth the weight gain Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G920AZ using the BariatricPal App
