  1. My surgery was 11/30. I am still on the clear liquid diet after doing 2 weeks of liquid diet..seems like forever but I have to say I am very proud of myself especially since I was on it over Thanksgiving. I just wanted to ask everyone how they are/were getting in the Protein while in this stage? My doc has me drinking skim milk but I think it is not agreeing with me and giving me diarrhea and I don't want to worry even more about becoming dehydrated...Not sure if I should make some changes or count by blessings that the pain killers haven't constipated me... LOL. Any advice? Sent from my SM-N920P using the BariatricPal App
  2. I tried mixing my Protein shakes with almond milk and regular milk. The almond milk changed the texture and made the shake taste better Sent from my SM-N920P using the BariatricPal App
  3. That is so good to hear! I am definitely experiencing the esophageal spasms, I can't wait til that stops! So happy for you! Sent from my SM-N920P using the BariatricPal App
  4. Hello,Thank you for your advice. So you are a couple weeks ahead of me, what phase of the diet are you on now? Is there anything you're having trouble tolerating? I can't drink milk, it is making me incredibly sick. I was thinking of maybe trying again tomorrow to see if it's any better. Sent from my SM-N920P using the BariatricPal App
  5. I just had my surgery Wednesday and just came home from the hospital today. Idk why but I haven't told anyone in my family besides my husband and my sister who lives with me. I think I am just worried people will judge me or feel like I took the easiest way out. I even feel like the nurses were a little rude. I never was offered my meds, I had to ask for them each time and last night they kept shutting off my bell and then a nurse would come in and tell me they are working on it, this happened at least 3 times. It took almost an hour before I got my nausea meds. I definitely don't feel like this has been easy. I am sipping my Water frequently but I get very nauseous when I sip the milk. I guess I just need some support from someone who has been here in my shoes! How long did it take before it stops hurting when you sip your water or take your meds?
