  1. Thanks Kathy!!! I leave in like, 3 minutes to bring my boyfriend to school, then I have to go straight to school, then straight to PCP, then straight to work, then straight to hospital for sleep study, then striaght back to PCP in the morning, then home finally to change, then straight to school, then straight back to hospital for psych eval. I can't wait until friday night when this is all over!!! I'm freaking out! Thanks for all the good wishes! I'll definately let everyone know how it goes!!!!! I think I would have gone insane already if I didn't have this site lol!
  2. So today is the start of the craziest two days of my life lol. I'm leaving in 10 mins to bring my on again off again (I don't know what else to call him lol) to school because his car broke down, and before I leave I have to pack my car with my work clothes and everything for the sleep study. I'm so nervous about all my appoinments and I really hope I can get there ok, after I leave I'm not gonna see my house again until tomorrow morning (I hope.) Ahhh I'm so stresssed, but at least I know tomorrow after the psych eval I will be like, 200 steps closer to my band, wish me luck!
  3. Hey ama we have the same surgeon!!! I'm seeing Dr. Adam Glasgow, I have to go to Norwood hospital tonight for the sleep study and then tomorrow for the psych eval. How were your experiences?? Good luck with everything!
  4. Thanks! I'm really hoping to be banded the end of May, I end school May 15th and start school again June 2nd so its really my only window of time. My surgeon is in Norwood, about 20 mins south of Boston, its only about 40 mins north of my house so its not too bad. I'm just stressed out about tomorrow!! If you look at my little "checklist" in my signiture, you see I have most of my appointments in the next two days, along with school and work both days. I'm going to have to pack for my sleep study AND work before I leave for school at 10 am tomorrow morning, the hospital is an hour away and so is my school, but of course they are in different directions. AND I have to go back to the hospital for the psych eval on Friday, along with two stops to my PCP for a meeting after school tomorrow before work and then bloodwork after the sleep lab. AHHHH!
  5. OH yeah but congrats about getting your journey started! Just don't schedual all your appointments on two days you cannot take off from school and work lol...
  6. Hey angie, I haven't had surgery yet, I still have a bunch of stuff to do, I made a list of it all in my signiture and am checking things off as I go along. Tomorrow is the start of the busiest 2 days of my life. I have all the appointments to go to, 4 in total, along with school an hour away, both days, and work. I'm so dreading it....
  7. I found a trader joe's! Theres actually a bunch in Mass! Theres one in the cape, one way out in western MA, and then a bunch near Boston, the closest one is in Hanover (I know only people from New England are probably getting these references) which is about an hour from my house, maybe if I need to go up to Boston sometime I'll check it out.
  8. I've heard the ones at "Trader Joe's" were good, I had never heard of that place before though, I hope they have some around here. New England gets excluded from every chain! Oh man there are 1000s of really pissed off people that really really want to eat at a Cici's pizza or a Jack in the Box or a Sonic, they play the commercials on all the channels!!! But alas, there are none for hundreds and hundreds of miles, my friends and I keep checking their websites lol :rolleyes2:
  9. Oh man thats a lot on your plate I hope everything goes well! I'm sure the baby will be healthy :biggrin2: School ends for me on the 5th and we have finals until the 15th, its usually the same at other schools too, so good luck with everything!
  10. http://www.lapbandtalk.com/f84/if-you-had-gain-weight-get-lap-band-covered-insurance-51152/ link to that poll - check it out
  11. Haha yeah someone already mentioned this but there was a great poll about this a couple weeks back, tons of hilarious stories about people putting weights in their pockets and all sorts of stuff lol. I was worried about my bmi being over 40. My height always comes in differently (I think I hunch on accident) at either 5'1 or 5'2, and my weight is always fluctuating from 220 -229 (eh) I ate like, a half gallon tub of fruit loops and milk in the car on my way to the appointment and measured 5'2 - 223. I think its worth gaining a few if it means loosing a ton in the long run if everything goes as planned. Good luck!!!
  12. Nothing.... Hehe alright thats only when its dark out and I'm being sneaky  My favorite bathing suit ever I got at Target, its by Merona and is a long length, shirred tankini, Mine is this beautiful turquoise color but I think this season they only have brown and black? I plan on ordering the black, I tried last year but they were sold out.
  13. Haha thats so funny! Judging on the same BMIs I'm guessing your 5'2 as well???
  14. Hey Jodi how are you feeling!??? Your daughter looks beautiful!!! And shes not even born yet! lol Keep us updated
  15. Hey BooBooKitty, you look beautiful as the new LBT model!!!! And I love the hair! You look like Jessica Rabbit! (I have a little Jessica Rabbit figurine I got in Disney World on the nightstand next to me which explains the random roger rabbit reference lol)
  16. Hey angelic 1, check out our matching tickers  lol, we have exact same starting BMI and goal BMI te he he, just though I'd point that out.
  17. I'm sure you'll be able to, they usually have each constestants performance every week which is where I watch if I have to work or something.
  18. Hahaha seriously!
  19. Ugh I hated that test. They sent it in the mail and I took it a week or 2 ago. I wasn't really thinking that they were trying to trick me, so I probably did bad answering, I varied on the questions about "bending the law," hahahaha, it was like, You should ALWAYS follow every law about everything regarless of anything, and I answered no, but on the questions that said "I love breaking the law," I also said no, ugh. My appointment is Friday, so hopefully everything goes well
  20. Have fun!!! I want to go to Florida! So jealous! lol. At least its starting to get up into the 50s and 60s even up here in Mass Have a blast!!!!
  21. Jessica I am scared too! I don't think I'm that scared about the surgery part, I've never had it before but my little sister has been under anesthesia before a bunch of times and has been fine. I'm not even that worried about the eating. When my friends and I go out to eat, a lot of my friends just get soup and split a side of fries or something (they are all skinny) I've already told a few people, some with good feedback, some with horribly negative feedback. I'm mostly afraid that people are going to think poorly of me, and that I am a "cheater." I know if I get thin they will all be like, "well she cheated so it doesn't count." That is just how catty girls 17-21 can be (most of my friends fall into this age range) I'm also scared of what the guy I date will think, he turned the idea down and called me selfish for it when I brought it up back in September. I'd like to keep it hush hush, but I can't lie either. I'm hoping my supportive friends (so far I have about 2...) can help me deal with the other, not so supportive friends... thats what I'm really scared of.
  22. Hey there! I'm either gonna be banded in May or June, not sure yet, but good luck with everything!!
  23. Aww they don't deliver anywhere around here. And the search continues....
  24. Yeah I knnow what you mean, in high school I was always really active, I played softball and I did competitive dance my whole life, practicing 4 nights a week. By the time I was in 5th grade I was a full c, was a DD by 9th, and by senior year a G or DDD, where I am now, but I've always had big boobs, even when I was playing sports and such. Since I've stopped dance (it only goes up to grade 12) I haven't gained AS much as I would have thought, maybe 20 pounds since senior year, although thats only 2 1/2 years ago... but my point is that yes, I don't know what its like to be thin either, at least not that I can remember, but I sure would like to find out
  25. I've never heard of this store before, I figured it was like a GNC type store, I didn't know it was a supermarket, apparently they are mostly west coast based and don't have any stores over here in New England :huh2: I was really interested! I've never tried a protein shake I liked  although I've only tried a few.
