What are some of your fears about this surgery? Wether it be fears for before, during or after the surgery? Some of mine are since starting the program gaining more weight before surgery day, my last appointment I had with the actual surgeon was in July (since then only seen the doctors ive need clearance from) and to be honest I don't remember how much I weighed when I was there, whoops so I'm hoping when I go to see him on December 1st for my last check in before surgery on the 16th that I haven't gained, but least my pre op starts on the 2nd and besides shrinking liver you usual drop pounds even if just a little. fears for during are probably obvious, what if something goes wrong ive never been under before, how will I take to it, and all the other complications that could happen for after I have a lot more fears then anything else, like what if it takes forever to heal, what if I'm in pain for weeks, what happens if I end up having complications that can arise after, thinking about how much loose skin I could/will have (I know thats something stupid to worry about but at 23 years old it does kinda scare me to think if loose skin will make me look uglier than just being fat) what about if I never get to goal weight, will I hate myself for it or will I end up finding happiness in just being not obese and hopefully healthier, what if my friends and family look at me different, will I ever be confident or will I always be the girl I am now that isn't so much that, my list can probably be pages long haha but share with me some of yours any fears the same or similar?

you can do it from your phone if you go to google search bariatricpal.com and then scroll down and click full version and then once your part of it it will send you notifications even thru the app!

Hey you should join the group December 2016 sleevers, you can only find it on the desktop version but once you've joined you can see when people post on it on the phone app, its for everyone who has a surgery in December so we can all go on the journey together i think we all have mixed emotions but it is going to be okay! we are doing the best thing for us!

Aria Scale!! i love the scale it syncs to your app so you can always know what you weighed and it automatically knows who is on it wether it is you or a guest, it tells you weight, bmi, lean mass and body fat percentage and it is way more accurate then you just googling your body fat percentage by putting in your weight and height because it is sending currents when you step on to really calculate you i think its amazing been using mine for over a year! not super fancy like some other ones but just enough info a wls patient would want!

All the darn parties--the neighborhood has one, the office has one, then my company has one...then my husband's company. And they are AMAZING parties, food-wise. Luckily I 'll be in recovery during the party time. Besides, I didn't wan to buy another 'fat outfit' to wear to a party. I'll wait until next year and nibble on a couple of things in a cute outfit. I TOTALLY hear ya! This time next year we'll get to buy a super cute outfit that we like-and not because it fits, but because we like it and feel comfortable in it!!!! No you can't it has to be on a desk top so if you just go to the site on your phone through google and scroll down and click full site you can find it and then once joined you can see what people post in the group it will send you a notification but to actually join it has to be desk top. The app doesn't have all features as full site unfortunately

Only thing is, is that to find the group you have to Be on a desk top, app doesn't show them so you have to search it in search bar then on the side were categories aren't click group because it will automatically be under forums but once you click group it will be the only one there and once joined if anyone writes a topic in the group it will show in your notifications even on the app

can have decaf coffee and tea also and I actually started a group called December 2016 sleevers if you would like to join its for us to all have an easy place to find help from as we go thru it together
