  1. Yeah I tried to edit it but I could not. I meant I called her a jerk not a bitch. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  2. Oh please I called her a her a jerk not a b***h get off your high horse. I thanked her the fist time, and I explained to her that I didn't appreciate her antagonizing nor her being condescending. I thanked everyone maybe you should read that first. It's not always what you say but how you say it. @@LisaMergs Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  7. @@theantichick I said thank you to everyone and that I took their advice already. What I don't appreciate is being antagonized. When someone says the exact same thing someone else said over and over with out reading or following a topic it's going get quit irritating. I understood clearly that it's a Nono and also said I found new coping methods with my urge to chew. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  8. @@Lainybee1987 exactly but some people just get off on stuff like that. It's ok i learned and am still learning. Thank you. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  9. That's funny bc you said empathy I don't speak it. And I said if you could read the past post including what I myself had already said. And again you can say that your not condescending but you are and you know it. But like I said thanks for your advice. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  10. @lipstickalley just like people choose to not read I have the same right to respond as I would like on a public forum, I've seen you say this in many forums and how take what you want, personally I find as you said in someone else's forum you don't speak empathy, and that's fine but if people are going to speak in something obviously they should read because it's quit silly to say the same thing over and over again. Again I stated I'm a pretty new im assuming your not. Thanks again for your advice. @@ShelterDog64 yeah they are a good send. I was never big in chewing gum in the past, but I get this chewing urge, not a so much need to chew food that I've learned a few things that have helped although I find it hard to drink from a straw still it makes me feel like I have air but I do chew on the actual straw I've also been chewing gum, sugar free popsicles. 11. Wasn't trying to be hatful. Just stating because it seems everyone is very quick to say something with out reading what's been said. 14. I'm sure she was saying congrats on finding a better way, because I mentioned that I haven't done that because I found that popsicles and gum have helped me with my chewing needs. I don't think she was saying glad your coping by chewing and spitting. I am new and learning. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  20. Yeah I'm not sure if you saw that everyone has already told me that. And believe me I understand what everyone is saying an appreciate the advice, my coordinator is also a nurse, I don't know how many times I've said she didn't tell me Hey chew food spit it out. I at fist had a hard time with my chewing urges, and yes she said if I could not fight the urge to eat something because apparently im Not the only one who has urges she advise against the lesser of two evils that if I absolutely and if I felt tempted to put something into my pouch to just bite it and spit it because she rather i not actually swallow anything. Also not sure if you read that I have now found a few diffident ways to cope with it. Thanks for the advice Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  21. Como on we are food addicts, who are you kidding? I heard you and I appreciate the advice what I don't appreciate is how condescending your being. Suzzzzzz I appreciate the advice I did buy some and they are god send and the sugar free ones aren't that bad Someone told me gum would help too, I bought some sugar free trident and that has helped me with my chewing urge it's getting easier. I still look forward to being able to chew real food it's hard bc it's so drastically different from a life style of years and having it change in a matter of day. Thanks everyone for the positive advise. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  22. Yes and they also have Proteins. My coordinator is also a nurse and also a patient of my doctor who herself is sleeved. Like I said she's didn't so oh hey chew some food and spit it she said " if you absolutely" can't fight off the urge as in please don't put nothing down into your sleeve. I now know that it's not something I should do but it has helped and also I've recently been chewing gum. Thanks for your input. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  23. No I understand, I didn't chew in carbs by the way, I've chewed in pieces of fruit, and some lunch meat and chicken. I don't really struggle with bread. My coordinator didn't tell me hey chew your food she said if o absolutely couldn't resist or beat the urge to help me during the transition I could do it but not to pass anything. Gum is helping my chewing needs right now Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  24. Oh ok sorry I thought it was bc you couldn't drink yeah choosing not to drink is definitely a good choice Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  25. Didn't think it was that serious. It's not like I have been doing it consistently, I had my vsg in Mexico and my coordinator who also has done it did tell me that if I saw something and felt the extreme need to eat it that I should just chew it and spit it out an not to swallo. I have slot of anxiety so sometime I just feel the need to chew. I'm 12 days post of and I feel great I've recently started chewing gum. Not a gum person but it definitely has helped.
