Getting down to the wire!
I go to my last nutritionist appointment on the 22nd. Dr. Appointment today for clearance. Completed the psychological evaluation. Almost to the finish line and I'm so anxious, I'm so ready to get to the submission date. Anybody else this close??? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Trying to change before surgery. Help
I hated being hungry too, that's why I was never a successful dieter. It's also why I chose to have 85% of my stomach removed. Even when I do feel a little hungry a couple of ounces fills me up. Try to get off the soda, I was never a fan anyway. It all tastes like chemicals to me. I guess I always wanted to eat healthy but I was always too hungry. I really feel like now I can do it. That person surviving on junk isn't going to keep the weight off, plenty of people who have WLS gain the weight back. We always have to eat the healthy, Protein rich foods first. For life! I'm a junk food junkie, but I'm trying. I love ice cream and I could eat it 3 times a day. I have taken to eating clean and removing 2 foods from my diet. It's hard eating food because I'm not used to eating real food but again I'm trying. I guess I have to try harder. This is helping me, because I realize I'm not the only one struggling. Trying to change before surgery. Help
Not really. I had an easy 3 day pre-op diet. I had a headache from no caffeine for one day but it passed. I am now allowed one cup of coffee with caffeine per day but haven't added it back. Your taste buds change. Every taste and smell is amplified. I can't stand sweet (used to love it) so finding Protein shakes I can handle has been hard. So you changed most of your behavior after the surgery because of how it changed you? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Louisiana Coverage, help!
I currently have united health care and they cover the surgery but there is a 6 month wait as you all know. My job is going through some changes and we have open enrollment coming up to choose health care insurance. What other company covers sleeve surgery and doesn't have such a long wait? By the time I reach the 6 month mark I may not be able to take off to get the surgery. Any advice? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

New Journey, newbie in New Orleans
Hi I'm very new, I finished my seminar today and I'm so happy I found this option. I've been overweight my whole life over 200 lbs for the past 13 years. I have type 2 diabetes and other issues. I'm looking forward to starting to live again! I have 3 kids and I'm getting married again to a wonderful man. I'm ready to have my life back. Any advice on what's next, what to expect and united insurance? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
