I had my surgery 10/19 and im 44. I was prescribed the same shots 2 times a day for 30 days. MY choice was to discontinue the shots and I increased my intake of raw and powdered Tumeric. Hell yeah I cheated. I paid dearly but I needed the sensation of freaking CHEWING..CRUNCHING. I even licked some lime chips then chewed them and spit em out. It was very satisfying and pathetic lol. I have no shame and I don't judge what u do to get through this. I have a sense of humor and I am not perfect nor am I Miss Self discipline. But u see, I was fully expecting to be 50lbs lighter for my return to work transformation and my on purpose accidental bumping into my ex telling him to go to hell moment. Yes! I was pissed in the hosp and was like wtf? How am I able to do this? And the Dr looled at me like I was crazy. I researched it and also learned that our pouch is healing and the hunger ques and hormones are off. My sensation of fullness is diff now and hunger and indigestion and reflux get mixed up. But I felt freaking empty and starving. I thickened up my shakes and broths so I wouldn't go eat a damn burger! Yes. Me too. Was sleeved on 10/19 and my hosp weight was 388. I'm 370 now. 11/2 will be 2 weeks exactly. I did. Cheat at times and was shocked by how hungry I would get. I'm a 44 yr old mother of 3. I was sleeved on 10/19/16. Pre op weight was 388 and im now two weeks post op and 370. I can't help but feel dissapointed. I feel like HOW is my fat surviving on this restricted diet??? Am I in freakn starvation mode????? And I was very hungry 24 hrs post 6and able to eat a bowl of browth and drink with no prob. Idk where that "2 spoon fulls and im stuffed" sensation is but I missed it. I do however get full from my Protein shakes thank God.
