I totally understand>>>>> I was banded in 9=7=07 and weighed like 223 AND now weigh 192 and staying still////////feeling frustrated and fighting with new insurance to continue coverage so when I can I will get a fill to see if I can have restriction, but dont trip your weight is not that HIGH and YOU can LOOSE the weight if you choose.......Good luck!

I totally understand, I was banded on 9-7-07 and do not feel resticted MUCH at all. I have onlylost about 20lbs and worry I can gain that back. I can eat ANYTHING I want as long as I CHEW properly and if I dont t just comes up anyways, Sometimes I wish I would have done the gastric bypass casue I am hungry just like becasue but have PAIN swoaaling instead of having a small stomach.............Let me know what u think..Tammy Ceres CA........................

You have had the band on for 2 years and only 2 fills? I talk to my dr and he said .50 or .25 is too little , I would suggest at least 1cc....... If you can eat alot or are not loosing weight then you should talk to your dr...........Hope i helps let me know Have a great day!

Hi Marlene~~~ Hang in there -- I felt the same way right after my surgery like take this thing out of me, what wasI thinking? But that was last sept 07 and now i am so happy i did it i have lost some weight not as much as I should or could have but it is a change, please dont cry or be by yourself, you can email me or call me if you like, i am in ca what state r you in? You will be fine and if your not hungry dont eat just be sure to dfrink alot of water and you will be FINE, make real real real real thin cream of wheat and sip just the taste in your mouth is comforting,..........

Hi Janet~~ this is tammy, I replied to your request for a buddy sometime ago and I tried to respond but I was sending from my other computer and it never went thru......and i didnt realize it until now so anywasy sorry for the delay in response. I agree with you, right after surgery I lost 15 punrs or so and felt restricted I was banded 9-7-07 and have had 1 fill then took it out casue I couldnt get ANYthiNG down may have been toosoon, casue then march 12, 2008 i had 1cc fill and went fine but I think I still need more casue I CAN EAT ANYTHING as long as I chew it good, I knwo it is my responsisiblity however, I really thought this band would help me feel less hungry and more restrictred but it doesn't, give me your thoughts.......talk to ya soon

Hi Dont be nervous, i dont think the dr will fill you during surgery becasue when it is put on your will have to wait about 6 weeks for your first fill because of "adema" like swelling from surgery where the band is placed inside, you be FINE cause they put you on a STRICT DIET and you will definately not be hungry and feel real full so dont worry, good luck!

I know I should not expect miracles but I am very frustrated. i have not lost the weight that I thought I would have by now. Also, I really really wish I wold have had access to this website prior to my surgery in 9-7-07 to obtain informaiton and support. But I will keep trying, hopefully not trying and failing but trying and succeding.until later :biggrin:
