  8. Thank you so much! That was exactly the type of answer I was looking for. That was extremely helpful. I was feeling like a failure. Thank you! Sent from my LG-H901 using the BariatricPal App I scoured the internet for that exact answer when I was facing the test but never found it lol I took that test, went directly to the store, bought a pack, chain smoked 5. I'm a nurse BTW. It took a few more times to finally quit. Don't give up, you're not a failure!! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G870A using the BariatricPal App
  9. Agree with all the posts about quitting to promote healing! But to answer your question they're gonna test for cotinine. I quit for my job testing and it took 10 days for the cotinine test to be negative. I was a pack a day smoker up until I quit. Hope that helps Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G870A using the BariatricPal App

  14. I am considering sleeve surgery in feb-mar cause my work does a six month thing and I'm on month three. I set my FSA to 1500 which is a little over my deductible. You can use it for all your copays and meds, I also got massages, contacts, chiropractor, and all pretesting this year. You can order from FSA store too- all sorts of things including pregnancy tests and Vitamins. I love mine and had no trouble spending 1500 this year without being chronically ill Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G870A using the BariatricPal App

  24. I'm a nurse in a post op setting, we give heparin or lovenox shots to many patients after surgery. Very common and very safe, patients leave with them sometimes or on aspirin or coumadin. It could be based on health history as well that this route of clot prevention was chosen over the others Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G870A using the BariatricPal App
