  1. Start out with a couple of tablespoons first then work your way up to a half a cup. I'm 2 months out and eat a half a cup and a quarter to a half of a banana every morning
  2. If anyone out there needs help or support please feel free to get in touch with me. I had mine on 1/23/17 and so far this is by far the best decision I've ever made. Every thing you read isn't that bad, believe me it's very easy.
  3. WOW! Good for you! That's a great loss so far.
  4. You're or the only one! I thought about food all the time and every commercial on tv I wanted it (pizza, Taco Bell, mc Donald's, Chinese food) everything. It does get better, and when you start to see the weight come off your thought process changes to I don't want that. Hang in there.
  5. Had my 6 week check up this past Thursday. Lost a total of 52lbs so far, but only 5 in two weeks. Still can't complain. About at my half way point. Doctor said just like everyone on here said expect stalls.
  6. Hang in there. According to everyone it will come off. Just remember we're not eating like we used to so we have to lose.
  7. Lost 40 in 4 weeks but it slowed down a lot. Seems like I won't lose for days, then all of sudden I'll lose 3-4 pounds. Can't complain, I know the big stall will come. Still rather be sick of the smell and most foods then be craving them. While I was in the hospital, I was craving Chinese food.
  8. Had mine on Jan 23. How are you doing?
  9. Yes it is weird definitely. Now it seems like even the smell of any kind of fish makes me gag. I'd rather drink a shake then eat a couple tablespoons of tuna or any fish. Things that I loved before the surgery makes me gag at even the thought of. Finally lost four more pounds after a stall.
  10. Any kind of fish especially tuna gets me. I can handle soft vegetables and ground up chicken pretty good. I'm only 5 weeks so hopefully like you the next few weeks will get better. I still would do this again even knowing what I know now. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  11. I know what you mean. It was tough going. I've given up red meat too. Most of the fish make me nauseous. I can handle ground chicken and vegetables, but only a couple of tablespoons. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  12. It does go pretty fast though. Try not to think about it to much. Now that I'm on soft foods, just about everything makes me nauseous and I find myself better off on Protein shakes and liquids. Back when I was on it, I hated it Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  13. I did notice I'm freezing most of the time. Before surgery I never wore a jacket outside or used blankets, I was always hot or sweating. Been getting very nauseous every time I eat lately, even throwing up,doc says I'm eating too fast but it takes a good hour to eat dinner which is only a couple of tablespoons Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  14. Thank god I'm not going through that! It sounds really rough. I've been holding liquids really well. When it comes to food tho that can be tricky. When I do eat (and it's like 2or3tbs) nauseous, sweats, and diarrhea for like an hour afterwards. Getting to the point where I don't want to eat.
  15. I definitely would've been nervous about complications if I had it done in Mexico too. Lucky thing you didn't have any problems. I haven't lost any more weight since the past weekend but can't really complain. Glad to hear your doing well.
  16. Had some complications after surgery, had some blood loss and wound up needing two blood transfusions, then my heart was racing and high blood pressure so they moved me to the cardiac floor. Spent 6 days in the hospital. But it was still worth it, lost 46lbs already.
  17. How are all the January sleevers doing since our surgery? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  18. My doctor said as soon as I stop taking the pain killers which was quick because I only took them for two days. You'll know when you feel up to it.
  19. Good luck to all! We are finally going to change our lives for the better. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
  20. Nope, USA. New Jersey. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
  21. They told me not to come to 11:30 so I already know I'll have a day of hunger, thirst, and headache. Still can't wait to get it over. Good luck to all getting it done tomorrow. Keep in touch with progress. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
  22. A little nervous and a little like I can't wait to get this over with. I'm getting all sorts of bad headaches too. Hungry all the time, and feeling very cranky. Can't wait for it all to be over either. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
