  2. I have been through all pre op requirements, and was denied by insurance. My BMI is 40.8, severe sleep apne and on a CPAP machine. I'm 5'2 and weigh 234. Has anyone been denied by insurance with Sleep Apnea? I'm,waiting to hear back after appealing denial.
  3. I am pre sleeve surgery, and was diagnosed in February 2017 with Sleep Apnea. Am now on CPAP therapy and would love to hear your post surgery experience of how it has affected your Sleep Apnea.
  4. I'm considering self pay. Does anyone have any worries if they do self pay, the chance of something going wrong and ending up with a huge liability pay out. Trying not to overthink here... Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
  5. Has anyone had trouble qualifying with their insurance? Mine, Rocky Mountain Health states only,a "glandular issue can qualify you. I've had hypothyroidism since I was 34, now 57, and because I'm medicated for it, it's not considered a issue. I'm at a loss. I was just diagnosed with severe sleep apne, but they say that isn't considered a comorbidity. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App

  11. I'm waiting for final approval from my insurance. One of the things I'm hoping I see a difference with post op is having more energy. What has been your experience? I'm hoping there is a big dif, once I lose 50 lbs or more. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
