  8. I don't think that I could have put it in words any better. You described my post op experience to a T. I was sleeved 10/12. I am JUST now starting to feel like a real person again. Today is the first day that I haven't cried. I even went outside with my toddlers for a while. This time last week I was convinced that it would be easier if I just rolled over and never got back up. I absolutely promise you that it does get better. You WILL start feeling human again. Push through, go find a support group (I went to an over eaters anonymous group last night for the first time and loved it), tell your family that you are not ok right now and let them help you. This will all be worth it. For now, find something small to Celebrate every day and remember that you're not alone. HW 427 SW 358 sleeved 10/12/16 I may not be there yet, but I'm closer than I was yesterday.

  16. I'm a nurse as well. I tried to go back after a week and it was not long enough. I was weak, sick, and miserable. I couldn't think straight and I absolutely could not keep up. I don't recommend it. Take that extra week for you, your health, and your patients. HW 427 SW 358 sleeved 10/12/16 I may not be there yet, but I'm closer than I was yesterday.

  21. I quit smoking, at least a pot of coffee a day, and my addiction to fast food 6 days before surgery. I completely understand where you're coming from. I feel like I'm losing my mind. Day 3 post op, I completely unleashed on my poor husband like a crazy maniacal banshee. It is completely normal. My doc told me to try decaf coffee drinks. So I picked up decaf instant Cappuccino and I allow myself a half cup daily to sip on. Just to tame the beast. Then, I chew on cinnamon toothpicks or suck on cinnamon altoids for the cigarettes. I promise that it gets so much better once you get past the liquid phase. My best advice to you is find a professional or group to talk to asap. I am doing over eaters anonymous. You need a way to express and work through your addictions. It will help so very much!!! Good luck. You can do it!!!! 26. Do you have some favorite flavors?I like the fruits better than the sweets. strawberry kiwi and lemonade are my tops. The only ones I didn't like were lemon tea, espresso, and plain strawberry. Also, I would do double stuffed cookie with almond milk instead of Water. Thanks!! And espresso? That sounds nasty haha, no wonder you didn't like it. I guess someone does or they'd stop making it. Definitely going to order some If you call the customer service number and choose the bariatric option, they have a one time sample pack you can order. They send you 15 single shake servings for $15 plus 1.99 shipping. That lets you try 15 of the 17 flavors that they offer. That's how I started with them. My nut recommended it.Thanks! Do they have sucralose? Sent from my SM-G920V using the BariatricPal App I had to go look, but yes they do.
  27. I loved Water pre op. Now, it tastes like dirty socks. Cannot stomach any type except deja blu. You aren't alone. Try getting some mio and adding a little flavor. Or, get some flavored water. That's the only way I can do it. HW 427 SW 358 sleeved 10/12/16 I may not be there yet, but I'm closer than I was yesterday.

  29. I was sleeved 10/12 and I am having an exact opposite experience. I struggle to force myself to do anything, I have this awful rumbling air/gas thing going on which causes terrible pressure against my breast bone, and it hurts every time i sip anything. Each day is better than the last, but I'm still miserable. Everyone's journey is so different. Very ready to start feeling better. 31. I'm 4 days post op and my roommate brought home my favorite Mexican food ever and he brought me a meal. All I could say was thanks, remind him I'm on a clear liquid diet, and house until the smell went away. He knew better. We'd had a long talk about the different phases and where I was keeping my food. Oh well, at least my husband and kids enjoyed it. 32. Way too many carbs. I'm sure that's the main reason that you're struggling. You should see about getting an appt with a nut. Most insurances will cover at least a few visits. Shakeology is not bariatric friendly. You need to be on a bariatric specific protein. Then I suspect you'll see a ton of difference. Not only was I just sleeved myself, but I'm a nurse for a bariatric doctor. One of the top 3 mistakes that people make are wrong shakes. Look up Syntrax nectars. If you call, they have a first time sample pack for $15 and you get to try 15 flavors and they're really good. The second recommendation is
  33. I swear by Syntrax nectar. I don't know how I'd survive without them. I may not be there yet, but I'm closer than I was yesterday. HW 427 SW 358 sleeved 10/12/16

  35. If you're really worried about dehydration, try getting some g2 Gatorade. It's low calories, low sugar, low carb, and full of electrolytes. My doc swears by it the first week post op. I may not be there yet, but I'm closer than I was yesterday. HW 427 SW 358 sleeved 10/12/16
