Banded 3/11 30 pounds gone only complaint I am hungry. Some burping and a feeling of gascoming up in my throat. Chugged some water forgot about the band kinda hurt.

I was banded 3/11. 1st 4 days were bad from the gas I am hungry now living on ice pops, sf pudding jello yogurt and on P shakes. I still have a gas issue I was in the Groc. Store Yesterday and had a wave of nausea and cold sweats while trying to find yogurt and thought I was going to pass out, came home and had a violent bup and dry heave session and I feel a ton better. But I have a sore abdomin worse when I stand no redness or sign of infection. I thought I would try to go to work later this week, I think I'll wait to next. I'm going to the movies solo today.:confused2:

I was banded 2 days ago an last night this gas pain was right on my stomach to my throat I then would get the chills and start burping small amounts of gas with some clear flem. When I would lay down the gass bubble would start moving up my throat again. What works best

It the seminar (Abkin Bertha in north Jersey) I was told that BCBS was not bad but if you do not have any comorbidities they may make you either prove you were on an at least a 6 month medically documented or 6 months of Weight watcher Jenny Craig etc. With BCBS Fed my BMI was over 40 and I had comorbidities so I sailed thru. I was banded Yesterday. Abkin and Bertha have a team that does nothing but gang up on the insurance companies and know how to get you approved. Good Luck:thumbup:

Got banded yesterday 3/11/08 from Abkin and Bertha all went well Some minor discomfort no real pain. I have BCBS Fed emloyee program no problems fom them my BMI is 50 and I have Sleep apnia, Arthritis. I live in Ocean County and figured it was worth the drive they are supposed to be the best.

I am getting banded tomarrow from Dr Abkin and Bertha in NJ. I am kind of excited to get back to my life. I love the outdoors and hope by 2009 I'll be back to treking miles in the woods doing what I love. I want to go to Six flags with my daughter and get on a coaster. There are 4 or 5 new ones that I can't fit on now. I guess the best way to go is ONE DAY AT A TIME.
