  11. Congrats on getting your surgery date!!! Isnt it exciting? I was counting the days for mine. I hated the 2 weeks pre-op liquid diet. I bought Biotene spray for the dry mouth. It helped alot!!! Just make sure you dont swallow it until after the sip test. For BM i bought fiber gummies. I'm sure they have the powder for water. It helped alot as well. I also took Gas-X strips for my hospital stay but I didnt use them because I had no gas pain. Anyways good luck!!!

  14. If she feel dehydrated then yes. She should start her diet over. letting her try liquids. Sympotms of dehydration include dry mouth, no tears, fatigue, no urine. Then I would say take her to the ER. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  15. All you need is Biotene mouth spray.... boy did it save my dry mouth. i did not care about my hair. I did bring my own toothpaste and toothbrush. Cell phone too. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  16. Everyone makes mistakes it ok, you shouldnt feel upset about yourself. Just as long as u recognized you were in the wrong and the fact that you feel guilty is a good sign. My surgeon made me go on puree foods the day I got out of the hospital so every surgeon is different. I personally think you will be fine. Take Fiber chews or the powder fiber. It helped me alot to do a BM after surgery. Im 1 1/2 mnths out, I'm on solid foods now. I hope everything is good with you. best of luck to you!! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

I know its hard but u can have all the sugar free pops u can take lol. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  25. For some odd reason I can only tolerate the chocolate flavored one. It goes down easier. Never tried the other flavors except for strawberry cream... idk but I can't tolerate it. I also eat the tuna packs, i pick the lemon pepper one and that little pack has 18g of Protein and I add a little bit of non fat greek yogurt and its amazing. You can do it!!!! I do get pains tho, not my incision sights or gas but the stapleline inside my stomach. I drink Pepcid for acid so it doesnt bother me as much and I drink tramadol for pain but that also makes me sleep all day so I only drink half. But let me know how it goes!!! 26. yea lol, I mean I dont eat all of that in one day. It either 3 Protein drinks a day or 2 Protein Drinks plus the tuna. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  28. Hi Everyone ????. I am so excited to have joined the sleevers after an unsuccessful journey with the Lapband. I am 4 days post op. Boy has it been exciting!!! I just wanted to share my experience so far with people who are soon getting sleeved. I was informed of this app via a new friend I met at the course our hospital was having for the bariatric patients. I was soo happy when he showed me this app and read all the post op successful stories and was like Yes!!!! I can finally find someone I can ask for advice! My hospital experience was like no other. I had no gas pains whatsoever. I walked my rounds every two hours without my IV pole. Everyone that got sleeved or banded that day were in shock because I was not in pain. I didnt get to have morphine on my side because I became known of my allergies to it when I got banded in 2013. So instead I got Dilaudid. Boy did I lol . At least for 2 hours. I took with me to the hospital the Biotene spray for "dry" mouth and that helped alot!!!!!! I now drink 2-3 premier Protein drinks a day they each have 30g of protein in them, and my H2o. I eat the tuna packs with "lemon pepper" flavor and boy is it good! I also eat baby food, banana flavored. I add a little bit of greek plain yogurt to moisten it up the tuna alittle. I am so freaking happy with my decision. Everyone whose in the process or thinking about it Good Luck and I have no regrets. My surgeon is THE BEST. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  29. Hi, I had the lapband done in 2013 and had it taken out because I had no restriction whatsoever. I just got sleeved on the 11th! I also developed a hiatel hernia. I had to her my gallbladder removed because of my lapband. So far the sleeve has been the best choice i have ever made for a revision.
