  1. @@linzlou2000 you look fantastic. Do you mind me asking how tall you are? I had set myself a goal of 135 (I'm 5ft 7) but seeing how slim you look at 150 maybe that's unrealistic. Thx
  2. Wow that's great to hear ! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  3. Everyone says to walk walk walk if you can. I sipped warm lemon and ginger tea and that helped me burb up the gas. Good luck, it will pass soon. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  4. Fellow October sleevers, I just wanted to share that someone told me about a great app. Baritastic. It really helps to track your food and fluids. Make sure you log your measurements and weight before your surgery and it will make a nice graph showing progress. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  5. @@hats123 I'm doing well thanks. I lost 13 lbs the first 10 days but have stalled for the last 4. My main issue is lack of energy, but I'm hoping that improves over the coming weeks. I can't wait to get cleared for real food . Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  6. I lost a whopping 11 lbs in the first 11 days and then nothing for the last 5 days. I'm still on soft food. How many calories should I be aiming for ? Is it normal to stall in the early days ? I'm worried that even the sleeve might not work for my sluggish metabolism Thx Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  7. I've just downloaded myfitnesspal ap. Anyone know what we should be aiming for in terms of calories, and %protein, fats and carbs. Thx Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  8. Haha, sorry I'm laughing but I hope the nurses and surgeon aren't in costume On a serious note, I had my surgery on the 5th. About 4 hours of nausea which I later found out was a common reaction to morphine. It stopped when they switched the morphing to 'on demand'. Ask about that if u feel sick. I never needed any pain relief at all. I also had my gallbladder out as well! I've had worse period pains. I went to see a movie two evenings later. You'll be fine. Think positive and think of the sexy Halloween costume you'll be wearing next year. Good luck and we're all thinking of you Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  9. Good luck. You will be fine Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  10. I built the recipe into MFP as I made it. It made 6 servings. Each serving was 88 calories, 4 g fat, 3.3g carbs, 9.2g protein. Sent from my iPad using VST What is MFP please ? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  15. Hi I'm 11 days in and was given the go ahead to add cottage cheese and eggs at one week. I'm doing ok, but the cottage cheese makes my chest hurt a bit. I'm not sure yet what is normal discomfort and when I need to stop. I'm very nervous about hurting myself Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  16. Thanks I'll try to find them. I'mIn Singapore and they don't seem to have the choice they have in the US Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  17. I don't think so. We had surgery same day and I had a rough few days after coming home but now I feel pretty good. What are you eating/drinking? Sent from my SM-N910V using the BariatricPal App Possibly not getting in your Protein? I was sleeved 10/4... been up and going since six days post op! I had to make myself get up and go at first. A body at rest stays at rest. Maybe start walking every day, start small work your way up. I do tire quickly but recoup fast. Good luck and fast healing! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App Jesus loves you!!! I think you're right. I need to make myself go for a walk instead of going to bed otherwise it could become a habit Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  18. @@toli @@southbound it sounds like I'm doing something wrong. It's really weird it's in the afternoon I get these crazy slumps. I'm allowed soft foods so each day having 2 eggs, 1/2 tub cottage cheese and 1 of my 15g Protein shake. Then lots of Water. So I'm not hitting 50g Protein. Are you guys managing 50g ? 22. this will be great for me because I don't want to loose anymore than 50lbs so hopefully it false off slow and I'm able tone up fast Hi, I was wondering how you are doing towards your goal, as I'm just trying to lose 50lbs and was wondering how long that might take. Also whether I will get loose skin. Thanks for your update. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
  23. Just wanted to share that I've really struggled to find a Protein shake that doesn't make me gag. I found this coconut milk one today and think its quite nice.15g Protein so not the highest. It has whey but is lactose free and sweetened by stevia. I saw some good reviews online from Bariatric centers so hope it's ok. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
  24. Anyone eat banana. I had a weird one today when I was so incredibly tired, my body was craving one. I ate a small one mushed up and it went down too easy. I'm sure it's not on my puréed foods list but I have to say I felt a million times better after it. I'm hoping that quantity won't have hurt my 10 days healing stomach. Eek.
