Body measurements
I have a funny story (well, funny NOW) about boots. In 2007, I went to Italy. This was way before surgery and weight loss. And what did I want? A pair of hot Italian boots, of course! We were in Rome and I drug my poor friends all over Rome in search of a pair of boots that would actually go over my calves. By the 10th store, seemingly miles of wandering, and many eye rolls from store sales people, I finally found ONE damn pair of boots which were really cute and had a bit of stretch quality to them. They were still snug on me but I was determined! I wore them throughout Italy despite that fact I was getting blisters and sore from the snug fit! I had to write that to give you a glimpse into the future. I can now wear any style of boots and the calves are either perfect or too big! I even wear boots with heels! Edited to add: I still have my Rome boots. They were made remarkably well so I cant part with them!

Final pant/dress size?
I was in a size 20-22 pants on day of surgery, (220lbs), size 1x tops. Now, at 135lbs I wear a size 6 -8, ( depends on the brand) in pants and slacks, (size 4 in Old Navy Jeans). I wear a small in tops and sweaters. Belts: I fond this to be the most amazing regarding my size shrinkage- I went from not being able to find a belt that fits, to now getting small ones, 28 inches. Blows my mind. Shoes: was a 9.5 wide, now a 9 regular. Ring sizes shrank from 9.5 to 8. Hmmmm, I guess I better ask my husband for a new ring for xmas

Morning Vs Evening
Good question! I love lounging in the mornings and don't really like having to get up and workout, so I usually take a walk or run after work. However, I ran my first 5k a few weeks ago and the start time was 7am. After the run I felt amazing, energized and great all day. and I said to myself "I am going to get up early from now on to run!" Yeah, well.....that really hasn't happened. So I guess the answer is any time of day is better than nothing! Whatever makes you feel best. :-)

Heading into surgery
Congratulations! Welcome to the "losers bench"! I hope your surgery and healing goes well. Best shakes in my opinion are Premier chocolate. (must be really cold for me!). I'm not one to comment on vitamins because I don't have any brand that I like more than others. And I don't drink protien water. I tried ISOpure and hated it! Anyway, good luck in your journey and welcome to this forum!!

October 2016-Surgery Date. Where are you now?
Congratulations @msw! My 1 year was Oct 3rd. Hit goal around late August and feel terrific! Seriously a new life being lives here. I have been running and training for 5k races and someday, a 10k. After a year, I have learned how to manage my body when it comes to what I eat versus my activity, and have found that I actually have the controls in hand. I am maintaining my goal but will try to get more fit and toned, perhaps losing 5 more lbs but I'm really happy as I am! Hope you are are well!!

HOLIDAY CHALLENGE TIME!! LET'S DO THIS!
Hi @MissT_SR, The goal is totally up to you however since you are very fresh off of surgery, be kind to yourself and know that the first month or so can be really weird and unpredictable due to stalls, healing, fatigue, etc. So, my advice would to post a goal that is not too high but reasonable. Its truly up to you but perhaps 10-12 lbs? Some people lose very little the first month and I have heard of others losing 30 lbs in 2 months!! So, focus on healing and making your body comfortable. Congratulations on your surgery and glad to have you in the challenge!

@Mariel0718 Congratulations and best wishes for a speedy recovery! You posted your overall goal (150) but do you have an 8 week goal for this challenge? You will just be healing so obviously your rest and recovery comes first.
