  1. I know this probably isn't the way to handle it but when I kept hearing that phrase at work (nursing) I finally just said in a strong voice, "I'm 5'3" and I weight 240 lbs and my BMI is 42! Each time the reply was "Oh" or "Oh really". No more negative from anyone. Just support. Not too much is private with me so it worked. But not for everyone Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App

  5. I have been taking the Celebrate Multivitamin with Iron for a week now. Tolerable is all I can say. Ready for something else or at least a new flavor.
  6. Does anyone else seem to notice that the weight comes off from top to bottom? My face seems thinner and unfortunately so do my boobs but not my badonk-a-donk! My clothes are more comfortable but no decrease. I have tried to increase my walking and bike riding to try to help. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App

  8. Been there, done that. The only thing my "food funeral" DIDN'T have was flowers, although if there had been editable ones I probably would have eaten those to! Pre-op diet has gotten me back on track and focused for the future. Ready for my surgery 9/26/16. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
  9. I agree that carbs can be very harmful to the body. My concern is we need to eat healthy, low calorie carbs along with plenty of Water. Not only for the Fiber (anyone have issues with constipation?) but ketosis from consuming high Protein long term may cause some issues with the kidneys especially if you already have underlying kidney disease. (I'm a certified dialysis nurse). Make sure you discuss this with your surgeon and dietician. Our goal is to be healthy. Sounds like you are doing wonderful on your weight loss. Keep up the good work! Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
