  1. Ms. Stacy - my doc and nutritionist wouldn’t allow that for me either. I had my surgery on Dec 27 and I’m totally afraid to try sparkling anything. I just started drinking decaf coffee and not every day because I’m afraid.
  2. I can’t drink the premier shakes at all anymore. All whey protein shakes are giving me the runs. I get it I’ve had issues with milk in the past but nothing like this. I had surgery 12/27 and a few issues with my throat and ears hurting but that’s getting better. I’m having a hard time with the smell of some protein shakes and I just keep tossing them. Water and broth are my besties.
  3. That’s what I’m gonna do because Celebrate has a chicken based protein but it’s not jiving with me. I’m going to buy an unflavored protein to add to my broth.
  4. My paperwork says no crackers and that’s even after a month. I only like matzo crackers and buy them during Passover even though I’m not Jewish but nope no crackers here probably not until 2+ months out.
  5. I had my surgery yesterday. This gas is horrible!
  6. Has anyone tried Inspire protein powders?
  7. I like listening to WLS podcast; this is the last episode http://www.weightlosssurgerypodcast.com/097-catching-up-with-leslie/
  8. Come on Jersey Girl you got this! Be strong. You made it this far. I’m rooting for you!
  9. Ok. I just needed some ideas. My surgery is tomorrow. I have issues with the premier making my throat hurt some. At first I didn’t know what was causing it but I think I’m allergic to something in it. Once I’m about 3 to 4 weeks out I know I’m gonna need some other options.
  10. Your doc is trying to get you to use their in house brand they are working with. Mine uses Celebrate. I’m glad you mentioned unjury because I was considering trying it.
  11. What’s on your purée menu?
  12. Mine is 12/27. I know how you feel. Good luck and keep us posted.
  13. Maybe it’s more related to the types of protein consumed like beef, lamb, goat and other heavy meats considered to be on the same level as red meat.
  14. I feel it’s my journey, my life. We’ve tried to do things to lose weight and studies prove long term most are not able to keep it off for good. I commend those that have been able to do it. I also commend those of us taking this route because the surgery alone doesn’t make you successful. It’s still a long term battle because we still have the same brains we started with and to be honest most ppl overeat regardless of their size. We are doing what’s best for us and you don’t have to like it but we’re not asking you to either. Be happy with your decision. December 27th for me!!! I’ve gone through the steps 3 times and I’ve finally decided I’ve had enough and need some assistance.
  15. Good luck!! You got this!!
