Approved! Washington State Apple Health (Molina Medicaid)

You might get denied for stage 3 surgery. I would call and ask the weight loss case worker at Molina.

Approved! Washington State Apple Health (Molina Medicaid)

Now that I'm thinking more about it if you live in Washington and your health care is out of Washington why are they sending you to Oregon. UW is great. I am so happy I had my surgery there.

Approved! Washington State Apple Health (Molina Medicaid)

Look up UW weight loss clinic. Call them and tell them you have Molina. They will explain what you need to do. With Molina you need to be referred by your primary doctor.

Approved! Washington State Apple Health (Molina Medicaid)

I just got approved for my surgery which will be done June 9 so I'm pretty stoked. I also had to do the requirements of Molina which took me about six months

Molina approved stage 1 and 2

I also have Molina in Washington. I'm a little bit more than halfway done. I should have everything finished by the end of February. Tomorrow I go for my upper endoscopy. Last week I had a upper G.I. and you also have to have a Manometry test. The test were assigned by UW weight-loss clinic they might also want a sleep study. I've met with Their social worker and nutritionalist. I didn't have to with their PT but you never know. Now I just need to finish up my appointments. Go for my test preview and my post op diet class then they'll send my approval back to Molina for surgery and then I'll get a date. you also have to make sure certain blood levels are normal. It's a lot but you just have to roll with the punches. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

I completely agree with you. I'm in the same program you are. I got told flat out there is no fast tracking. You have to wait the 6 months and keep the weight off and do all your appointments with UW and your Molina/Medicaid required appointments.I can & I will thanks for the post. It's good to know that Medicade is making changes or maybe it's just I AM that is offering the same services to all Bariatric patients. Is the pre surgery at loss an insurance requirement? I thought my program uses the same protocol as WUM but the program doesn't h ave a pre surgery weight loss requirement. The NIH study showed that there was no long term benefit so now the surgeons just do the 2 week surgery prep diet. You don't even make any sense. If you want to know about Molinas 6 month requirements you can call them directly. They might be able to help you, seems how I can't understand what you wrote. Sent from my SM-G935T using the BariatricPal App Huh? I have no clue what that says. I can & I will

That is typical, I had to call into Molina and ask who my case worker was and ask them to have her call me. She never did call, so I called back and they gave me a new case worker and that person has only called me once. She scheduled to call me again this month, but missed the date. I will call and leave her another message to call me. It seems as if the case workers workload is so big, that they're overwhelmed and they are extremely hard to reach. I would suggest calling Molina and getting that sorted out. Sent from my SM-G935T using the BariatricPal App Thank you. I will definitely do that. I know they are extremely hard to get a hold of. I can & I will I also spoke to Jennifer White and she scheduled me with someone, but they never called. I will definitely call tomorrow and leave a message. I know they definitely are spread pretty thin with the caseload they have. It's frustrating for us and I'm sure it's frustrating for them as well. I can & I will

I do have a question for you guys though, I have not received monthly calls from a case manager at Molina. I've only talked to someone there 3 times about my stage two letter who works in the bariatric department and she told me I would hear from someone soon, but I never got a call. I know it's a requirement, but I thought it would be nice to still talk to someone to make sure that I'm doing everything right. I can & I will

I I had that test today it was horrible. Tolerable, but horrible. The bumps on the tube were very uncomfortable. I'm trying to go to bed now with this stupid tube in my nose and it's very annoying. The people that worked with me today were very friendly. I have to go back tomorrow to get this one taken out. Thank God it's only for 24 hours. I can & I will

Oh my God I thought I was the only person who thought she was rude. I met with her last month. I have to go next week to do my acid reflux test the 24 hour one. December 1st I have to see their social worker, nutritionist and have my GI Imaging. I'm having a hard time getting my upper endoscopy appointment. I've called several times but the lady hasn't called back. I keep getting voicemail. I can & I will I'm up in Bellingham about two hours away from UW I can & I will
