Hi everyone. I am 8 days out from a lap band to gastric bypass surgery. I am finding it hard with the stage 1 diet because mostly everything like the sugar free puddings and Jello are just too sweet and my only savory option is broth and Water. Hi, my surgery date was September 6 also. I had the one sided pain on the left it felt like a sharp dagger. I used Tylenol and a heating pad. I also walked in the back yard when I could seems like the more I walked the more I burped since they put Co2 in you so they can do the surgery. As for the white tongue at first it thought I was dehydrated but I have been drinking fluids round the clock i invested in some Biotene mouth wash and spray from Walgreens and it seemed to do the trick. I am figuring from taking those crushed pills and chewable Vitamin supplements they may be drying our tongues out. Congrats on your surgery and many well-wishes to you.
