You and me both! Mine is the 29th and been on liquids a little over a week. Cheated here and there. Had a small piece of Mahi with sliced tomatos a few days ago but other than that been following the rules. Craving hardcore a boned in rib eye. That's Protein right? Lord help me! Muscle Milk Light Protein Shake
Saw a Berries and Vanilla in the store and bought it, damn it was good. I'm using the muscle milk powder now for pre-op liquid. 1 scoop with ice, skim milk, strawberries, and some flax seed and damn tasty!

Hey there September sleevers! Any one out there?
Alright September 29er here. Getting anxious, spending most of my time at work not working. Started liquids a week ago tomorrow and am down 11#'s so happy about that. Liquids haven't really been a problem, lightly cheated a handful of times mainly with unsalted peanuts. I did my pre-op class yesterday and did all my hospital registration so this time next week I should be a big ole ball of nerves. Happy that my surgeon doesn't do a catheter, not so happy about the 7 days of self injected blood clot medicine. Good think my wife is a nurse and can handle that for me. Plan on enjoying a last day in the pool with the kids. SW: 374 CW: 366 GW1: 250 GW2: 225 I'm 6'-2"

Dr's referral holding me back
Like Buffle said find someone who all work in the same system. I changed my primary to someone my surgeons office had worked with, same hospital system, same billing, same computer system. Made life simple and all my records were easily shared between offices. Something to consider if they make you start the process again. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Four Month Post Surgery Update
Wow well done. Inspiration! Just had preop today and I'll be staring my liquid diet somewhere around 375. I'd be stoked to see your kind of loss. I enjoy hiking and walking so looking very forward to the great outdoors. Congrats and thanks for the update. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Which blender should I get?
I bought the ninja so that it can do double duty of Soups and smoothies. That thing destroys, I put yogurt, Protein powder, ice, strawberries, spinach, and flax seeds and in about 5 seconds everything is liquified. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App

Taking care of PreOp as we speak!
Just wrapped up my PreOp clearance and off to get my labs done and my chest X-ray as requested by my Doc. Blood pressure is up but that may be from anxiety from this whole procedure being a little over 2 weeks away on the 29th of September. Need to find a time machine to fast forward a year from now when the worrying is gone and I'm back to wearing waist 36 board shorts. Work from home after surgery?
Thanks for all the responses so far. I'm a bit of a lurker and reader and can't tell you how valuable of a resource this has been. I ended up lowering expectations at work and explaining I hope to be available the week following but don't count on me. My surgery is scheduledfor Thursday at noon, so I'm hoping by that following Monday (3.5 days) I'll be feeling up to doing a bit of work from home or at least replying to important emails. I also opened up the possibility that I'll be staying home for that entire week following the surgery.

Work from home after surgery?
Hey guys, newbie here. I have my sleeve date scheduled for 9/29. I am an architect and my firm is being very supportive but I know I am slammed with projects and so I offered to work from home during recovery. I've read a bunch of different post op experiences and am wondering if I'm going to be able to follow thru and how comfortable I'd be sitting down behind a computer. I don't want to over promise and under deliver. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App

Sleeved Sept. 29th!
Hey sleeve date buddy! Like you I'm nervous as hell having never had a surgery and my mind is bouncing back and forth wondering should I do it, should I just diet again. Let's face it though that hasn't worked for me so why postpone this opportunity. Today walking by a surf shop thinking of all the clothes and activities I used to be able to do and wear. I think the positives way outnumber the negatives. I just need someone to hit me in the head the morning of and get this over with. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App

I did it! Got sleeved yesterday 9/2!
My first post and wanted to say thanks. Having never had surgery I've been really stressing my upcoming date of 09/29. I know the benefits of going through with it are going to far outweigh the few days of discomfort. One thing I'm worried about and intend to ask the Dr during my class coming up is about a catheter. Did you have one at all? I'd rather leave that part of me alone. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
