  1. I was prescribed a mouth wash. I've been using it for almost two weeks and I still have thrush. It won't seem to go away. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  2. Did anyone get oral thrush after their surgery? If so how long did it last? Did it make everything you eat not really taste well? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  4. I am and have been taking something prescribed to me for acid reflux. It just seems to still be really bad at night for some reason. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  5. Before I had my upper GI, my surgeon told me if they found any other problems in my stomach they would take them out during my sleeve operation. It's probably pretty common and easier on you in the long run. Good luck on the 5th! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  6. I think if you have any worries at all about anything you should voice them to your team. After all, that's what they're there for. Maybe their answer will put you at ease a little. Good luck with your surgery!! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  7. I had GERD really bad prior to surgery. It was most likely weight related because I never had the problem until I put on my weight. Now, after surgery, my acid reflux is horrible at night. I was wondering if anyone else experienced this and what helped? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  8. I did contact my surgeon and they said it's normal to feel that way at this stage. Everything is still healing. They told me if I didn't start feeling better in the next few days to give them a call back but that feeling has now pretty much gone away unless I drink too much at once. It's all about taking very small sips. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  14. I did have a swollen test done and everything was fine. I actually just called and talked to my surgeon and he said everything I'm experiencing is to be expected as long as I have no fever. He said it should calm down in the text three days so here's to hoping. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  17. I am only 4 days post op but I keep having horrible stomach pains any time I swallow anything. This includes little sips. I'm trying to drink my Protein shakes and my Water and it gets hard when every time I take a sip I get this pain in my stomach. I'm also so nauseated that the thought of drinking anything makes me sick as well. Did anyone else encounter this problem? If so, did anything help? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  23. I actually have a lot of history with loading and regaining weight or I wouldn't be having this procedure. I also never lose much due to other health issues. I'm very well educated on this procedure and I'm well aware there is no magic to this. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  24. We're definitely close!!! That's what I keep telling myself. Good luck to you! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  25. I actually have some crystal light with caffeine here so maybe I'll try that. I've also done the broth to change it up a bit and have something not so sweet. Thanks for the advice guys!!! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
