Did anyone get oral thrush after their surgery? If so how long did it last? Did it make everything you eat not really taste well? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Gallbladder removal too?
Before I had my upper GI, my surgeon told me if they found any other problems in my stomach they would take them out during my sleeve operation. It's probably pretty common and easier on you in the long run. Good luck on the 5th! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Need advice on my post op diet
I think if you have any worries at all about anything you should voice them to your team. After all, that's what they're there for. Maybe their answer will put you at ease a little. Good luck with your surgery!! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Acid reflux
I had GERD really bad prior to surgery. It was most likely weight related because I never had the problem until I put on my weight. Now, after surgery, my acid reflux is horrible at night. I was wondering if anyone else experienced this and what helped? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Horrible pain!
I did contact my surgeon and they said it's normal to feel that way at this stage. Everything is still healing. They told me if I didn't start feeling better in the next few days to give them a call back but that feeling has now pretty much gone away unless I drink too much at once. It's all about taking very small sips. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Horrible pain!
I did have a swollen test done and everything was fine. I actually just called and talked to my surgeon and he said everything I'm experiencing is to be expected as long as I have no fever. He said it should calm down in the text three days so here's to hoping. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Horrible pain!
I am only 4 days post op but I keep having horrible stomach pains any time I swallow anything. This includes little sips. I'm trying to drink my Protein shakes and my Water and it gets hard when every time I take a sip I get this pain in my stomach. I'm also so nauseated that the thought of drinking anything makes me sick as well. Did anyone else encounter this problem? If so, did anything help? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Second thoughts?
I actually have a lot of history with loading and regaining weight or I wouldn't be having this procedure. I also never lose much due to other health issues. I'm very well educated on this procedure and I'm well aware there is no magic to this. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Second thoughts?
I feel that the portion control is really what I need. When I tell my family "I'm not sure I want to do this" their response is "Well what are you going to do then because you can't keep going the way you are." When I tell them I'll eat better of course they say, "but will you really do that?" The truth to that is I don't know. I have chose this option (surgery) because I feel I need that extra tool and push. I'm just starting to get scared about life after surgery and what that looks like. Thanks for all the encouragement guys. It really helps knowing other people do have the same thoughts. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Second thoughts?
I was extremely excited and determined when I decided to have this surgery. I knew 100% this is what I wanted and was going to do no matter what. As my surgery date gets closer (September 20th), I seem to be having second thoughts. I keep going back and forth in my mind if this is what's right for me. Has anyone else been experiencing this? If so, what gets you through? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Pre-Op diet
My surgery is September 20th. I've been on my pre-op diet since Wednesday which consists of only high Protein, low fat liquids. I want to eat regular good so badly. I've been having really awful headaches and my body feels like Jello. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get through this phase of the surgery? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
