Does it really take 2 years?

I was 333 last July, had the sleeve in October at 287, now weigh 212, still losing, but slower now at 6 months, 6 to 8 lbs a month, would be faster if I exercised. The sleeve has great success if you eat right, protein and water are key. I was a size 28, now 16s are loose, I'm 5 ft 10 in. Do the surgery, you will get your life back Sent from my SM-N910P using BariatricPal mobile app

Got confused today re eating bugles ....

Don't hesitate to vent on your journey..this process is hard for ALL of us..some handled it different but it doesn't make them better..I'm sure we all tried something we shouldn't have during our process ..no matter where in the process we are..some just in the closet with it..Best of luck to you..and keep on BP to read the answers you seek.. 11. My dad is 74 and also begged me not to do the surgery, especially in Mexico. 8 weeks oost op now, 49 yrs old, serious arthritis pain is controlled with tylenol, 82 lbs down total, 35 since surgery. I absolutely would do this again (sleeve). The first 3 to 4 weeks were tough, so was the preop phase, but is all worth it in the long run. I still have 70 to 80 lbs I need/want to lose, and I know with this tool/assistant I will keep it off. You have to work on healthy coping skills, i used to lean on alcohol more than I should, and you lose both food and wine as coping methods post op. Overall I'm so much healthier in a short period of time. Do this for you if you feel it's the right step, based on Your research, best wishes! Diarrhea 9days post op

I too have had terrible loose stools for 5.5 weeks since surgery. I'd rather be constipated! I changed from prilosec to zantac, and cut out all lactose/milk products. I hated giving up the premier Protein shakes as they're convenient when on the road or working, and I'm also taking immodium. Trying to increase Fiber but that's not easy with the amount i can eat. I'm only getting 700 to 800 calories a day currently Sent from my SM-N910P using the BariatricPal App

    Am I going backwards?

Jello is a liquid, you can have it whenever. You really don't want to limit fluids. Although I do understand what you are concerned about with prior food habits Sent from my SM-N910P using the BariatricPal App

    TMI diarrhea post op

Audrey, you are not alone! I've had the same issues. I didn't start taking immodium until after 3 weeks of the diarrhea. I've tried adding Fiber, but the refried Beans give me gas, and there aren't many choices with our limited diet. I've cut out the premier Protein shakes thinking it's a lactose issue, and that's helped a little. I also changed from prilosec to zantac at my nutritionists recommendation. Prilosec can contribute to diarrhea, although it never used to bother me. Sent from my SM-N910P using the BariatricPal App
