I know I am a late starter, but I want in also. I am pretty tight and have been loosing 4 to 5 each week now so maybe I can do 20 by Christmas. Count me in.

How about a new update from everyone? I was banded March 4 and have lost 85 pounds as of this morning! I love the band. :thumbdown:

Love the lap band. Wish I could have done it sooner, but insurance wasn't covering it until 2007, then had to do 6 month diet. Banded on March 4 and down 75 lbs. Love the band and would never be without it. I have started telling people I have had it if they ask about the loss. Love the band!

I loved the apple juice and still have it today when I want a treat. I really love the Apple Juice Slush from Sonic. It is to die for. I know the juice may have sugar, but I have continued to go down even though I have been drinking it. If you have a Sonic, you need to try it.

Hi Karly, I was also banded by Dr. Britt on March 4th. Have lost 69 lbs. so far. I have had three fills so far and go for my 4th on the 9th at 4:30. They are always so good to get you in if you need it. They did me that way after my 1st one. I called and went in after two weeks. I am ready for my 4th because I don't feel I am where I need to be yet. Hope 4th time is a charm. Maybe I'll see you there. Tina

Thanks for the input. Incision is healed. Not rought water most of the time. Just felt like it was moving around when I was in the ocean. going to ask Dr. about at next fill.

Just wanted to find out if anyone else has experienced what I have this week. We have been at the beach all week. When I swim in the ocean, my port hurts, like it is moving around. It just feels really weird.:thumbs_up: Wondered if this was because of the salt. Anyone else had this feeling?:confused2:

My doc has put in 3cc at each of my three fills. I have a 14cc band. I am almost to my sweet spot. One more fill should do it. I would be going crazy with only .5, but not sure what size band you have.

One of my close friends used him and loves him. She has been doing great. Almost reached her goal. I didn't use him because he didn't seems as personable as the doc I used that was closer to me than Bham.

Lets keep this going with monthly updates everyone. Since March 4, I have lost 66 pounds. How is everyone else doing?

Yes, My doctor told me that there was a bell curve for weight loss with the band. He said it depends on how hard you work and stick to the plan they give you. It is only a tool to help, not like bypass. I have two friends that have lost to their goal weight and one that is not because she is eating to much. When he told me the curve was divided into three groups, people that cheater all the time, ones that follow almost all the time, but still cheat some, and superstars who don't cheat, I knew I wanted to be a "superstar" and would do what it took to make it work. I was not going to invest all the time and money and not be successful. I think it is what you make it.

I ate so many FF refried beans on the mushy stage that my husband thought I would start speaking Spanish:) I would heat them with a little salsa and ff cheese. Then I would put some ff sour cream on the top. It was so good. Never had any problem with it. Still don't and I have had two fills.

As of today, I have lost 47 pounds since surgery(3/4). Just got my first fill on Thursday. I love this band!

Happy Birthday! Congrats on being banded. I was banded on my Birthday (3/4). It was the best gift I ever gave myself. I have found that sugar free coolwhip (still frozen) is like icecream. Have a great birthday.

Awesome job! I was banded on March 4th and have lost 40.5. I have not started working out yet, but hope to this week. This is the best thing I have ever done! I love the band. It has really changed my life. What is your work out routine? I think I am going to start walking.

Hi everyone. Banded on March 4th. I have lost 38.4 pounds. Getting first fill on April 24. don't feel the restriction yet, but am eating very low fat and sugar free.

Just to update everyone, I have lost 35 pounds to date! I love the lapband!

My Surgery went great. They took me back about 8:45. Went into surgery at 9:05. In a room by 10:45. Left the hospital at 2:30. I am very sore. Lots of pain in my shouder and back. Guess that is the gas they blow you up with. MMCS was great. Everyone is so nice. I go back the 18th for my re-check. Thanks to everyone on here for your support.
