I also have DVT and pulmonary embolism. I am currently on coumadin. I have been in a stall for 3 weeks. Maybe I need to get more protein and drink more water. My mindhas been so preoccupied with the clots.

Hi did you have mini gastric bypass ? I am so concerned about malabsorption risk factor.

Please go to the doctor and demand a doppler ultrasound. I was diagnosed 6 weeks ago with DVT in my leg and pulmonary embolism. This is life threatening.

I was not given any shots when i went home but I had serious complications after surgery with a bleeding ulcer and was rushed back into surgery.

I have DVT and pulmonary embolisms presently on coumadin. This is so scary and I must admit 6 weeks and I can still barely walk from the pain in my calf. All my mind can think of is the pain, subsequently I can barely eat. I am definitely struggling.

My doctor put me on coumadin but it has been over 6 weeks and my calf from where the DVT is is hurting and still swollen. It hurts so much I having trouble eating. Needless to say I am in a stall. Anyone having this experience whom developed DVT and pulmonary embolism.

My vitamin D levels took two months to get to normal levels.

It took me three weeks. My stomach was so tender.

I hope in six months i csn stop too !

Does anyone take coumadin as a bloodthinner. I had mini gastric bypass in October and was diagnosed with DVT and Pulominary Embolism three months later. I am currently on a new drug called Pradaxa but the doctors want to switch me to coumadin. They seem to be worried about the mal-absorption from the mgb because taking the Pradaxa the blood is not monitored but the coumadin the blood is monitored once a week. Thanks for your input.

Oops I mean the surgeon.

He absolutely refused to do the sleeve. In Israel they do the omega loop which in America is MGB. He never even considered RNY.
