  1. That doesn't seem like a lot to me, especially for 5 months out. I'm at 7 weeks and ate almost as much. I didn't feel the restriction or pressure and was satisfied. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  2. My NUT has string cheese on my sample meal plan starting tomorrow, which is 22 days out. I'll let you know how it goes. I tried the famous Shelly's Ricotta Bake last night for the first time, it was so good to finally have a bite of food that felt a little bit normal and warm and cheesy.

  4. I'm 9/19 too! I've been walking and have had 1 gym visit on the spin bike (not a class, that would be too much). I was very tired after. I know that I can't introduce weights until week 6, but I was wondering about yoga and stretching-type exercises. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  5. I use it. It has a bit of an odor, but it doesn't bother me. I use it in yogurt, pudding, oatmeal, jello, soups, beans. Pretty much anything it can stir into. I don't really use it in drinks, but opt for a serving or 2 of syntrax nectar through the day (clear fruit protein drink mixed with water). Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  10. I have Aetna. Mine was submitted on a Friday and I had approval on Tuesday. I really expected a fight because I had a BMI of 36 and my comorbidities (PCOS, prediabetes) were not on the official list. I was shocked that they came back with a positive so quickly. 12. I have PCOS and was sleeved on 9/19. My endo took me off Metformin as of surgery and told me not to go back on. I also went off trulicity (weekly injection). I am supposed to go back on Spironolactone, but my blood pressure is too low at the moment. I am losing weight already, which is great. I'm terrified of what is going to happen to my hair, since that was already a big problem for me. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  13. Hi all, is anyone drinking Bai drinks? I was sleeved on 9/19 and am not having any issues getting in fluids, but I'm a little sick of the fake-tasting sweeteners of Vitamin Water zero and others. I tasted Bai yesterday and it was SO delicious. It has 5 calories per serving and 1 sugar, though it lists 7g of Erythritol. I did a quick search and didn't see anything alarming. I really hope that no one bursts my bubble on these because they taste so much better. I know that the fact that they have any calories isn't ideal, but... 19. I put in yogurt and mashed black Beans. I also mix it into sugar free Jello (mixed in the cold Water before combining with the powder and hot water). Mix it in all Soups. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  20. I was sleeved on 9/19 and have been living off of Syntrax nectar (fuzzy navel flavor) and I put unflavored GENEPRO Powder in everything. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  21. My surgery was the same day and my incision is still really sore, but I don't know that it's gotten worse. I saw my surgeon yesterday and they didn't seem concerned, so long as it isn't swollen or red in a circle around it.
  22. Hi all, A week and a day out and I'm doing pretty well. I'm hitting my Protein and fluids goals. I have been doing very long walks, but no real cardio yet. I started using the Baritastic app to track all of my intake and activity and my calorie intake is so low. For you newer sleevers, what does an average day look like for you, calorie-wise? My energy levels are pretty low and I'm assuming that has something to do with it. Hope everyone else is hanging in there! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  23. I see you. I think people just react to the one they see at the top of their feed. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  24. I'm also 9/19. I got off my pain meds and tried a Xanax last night instead and it helped a lot. I had trouble with sleep before surgery though. I have been sleeping on my side with a body pillow against me so that I don't roll over on my stomach. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  25. I'm the same way. Only 6 days post op and I am so thirsty and really taking fluids quickly. No problems so far. I'm sure I'll struggle with the 30 min rule once I graduate to purees. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
