  1. Well, I guess everybody gets different signals when they are full. Since my fill on thursday I have been hungry most of the time. I am thinking she took out too much when she adjusted the band. This is going to be a challenging four weeks without much restriction. My next fill is september 18th.
  2. I got my first fill on thursday. When I drank water in the doctor's office I could feel it going down. Now, eating a half a cup doesn't get it, but eating a whole lean cuisine.....I am full for 3-4 hours. Also, drinking a protein water fills me up. I think it will take a couple of more fills to get a truly full feeling.
  3. I get a hiccup or a burp when I am full too. I wondered if that happened to anyone else.
  4. Your doing great on your weight lose. I count all of mine. I think the fill I got yesterday may not be enough, but I didn't want to go back the next day if it was to much. I set up my next three appointments for fills because it is so hard to get in to see the doctor. Maybe they are filming next season. I hope so. I like watching people get a second chance at life. I know this is one for me. What kind of exercise are you doing? I am walking 30 minutes a day and hope to add Curves or Water aerobics next month.:wink2:
  5. My weight loss counts my pre-op. I have lost 18lbs since my surgery.
  6. I was like you and I just had to have a good talk with myself. I went to the dr today and got my first fill. She said most people don't lose until they get the first fill. So, you are ahead of the game. You will lose. Stay on your program and do not lose heart. Now when I start getting down you can remind me that "it is all good".
  7. I got a fill....took three times to get it right. I already had 2cc's in it then she put another two in it. Water would not go down....so she took out a cc and then dicovered the nurse had put 3cc's in the syringe so she took out a half. I can feel it. I have to stay on full liquids tonight then tomorrow soft food and then regular food on saturday. The goal is to eat a half a cup of food I think about six times a day. I guess three meals and three Snacks and 64oz of water. Whew!
  8. Lori, AWESOME WEIGHT LOSS! I go today for a fill. I hope things will pick up for me. I have no restriction. I even ate a piece of steak this week. I cooked for my daughter and I just had to eat. I even ate spaghetti and meat sauce, but I kept the portions very small. SO, I hope today will be the boost I need to move down to another level.
  9. I am getting a fill today. I hope I don't have to be on liquids for two days. :cheers2: I am making taco Soup for a party on saturday and I at least want to taste a little bit of it. Oh well, I will just drink the broth. The price of losing a few more lbs is worth it.
  10. Orea, copy the heart on my signature and go to your edit and paste it unless you don't want it anymore. I am getting a fill on thursday. Good thing, because I can eat anything and I have my ole appetite back. Yikes!
  11. Excuse my ignorance....but what is NSV.....a victory....awsome on the pant size. By the way, I buy lemon flavored vitamins from Bariatric Advantage....they are good. I just ordered mint flavored chewable calcium from them. YOu can set it up to have them sent every 90 days and the shipping is free. I want to go on an Alaskan cruise, but first I have booked a cruise of the Hawaiian Islands in April. I have a goal of losing 75lbs before the cruise. I am going to do it!:mad2:
  12. I eat out of a ramekin.....it is approx 1 cup. When is your first fill? I go on the 21st for mine.
  13. I ate tuna and crackers the other day.....my chest started hurting....and mucous came up in my mouth. I raised my arms and it went away. I ate too fast and the bites were too big. I didn't think I had restriction either. I get my first fill on the 21st and I can't wait. I have managed to keep my calories to 900-1000, but it is hard.
  14. FYI.....I tried Special K protein water mix today and it is good. It has 5g of protein in the pak. Just put it in a 16oz bottle of water and shake. I drank the Iced Tea. It is a good way to get fiber and protein.
  15. Once again.....Thanks.....I needed to read and digest your words. I think alot of the stall is the stress I have put myself under this last week. As far as my friend, we are different people.....actually....I was the one who drove her to the seminar and all the dietician and doctors appts in Houston. I am not the competitive type. I want what is best for her. Had I had bypass....it would have been a disaster for me, considering my health issues. After talking to my son, ( also banded), I started looking at my lost inches and got happy again. I just don't know what I would do without the support of all of you. I am truly BLESSED!
  16. My son warned me about white bread. Try toasting it. I haven't had a problem with saltines, but I did make a scrambled egg sandwich, and you are right, no bread! Hey, congrats on another 2lbs. I know I vented on the other thread about no weight loss, but after talking to my son ( he is banded) , I was encouraged. I am losing inches, so I should see that as a victory.
  17. Thanks girls! Maybe it is my anxiety over my daughter's health. Yeah, well, come drive in Houston.....it is crazy. Most of my friend's won't drive the freeways, but that is something I refuse to give up unless it is raining. I hope the cpap and the vitamin D will help. I hate anxiety. Okay, now I am venting.....I am walking every morning....eating 900-1000 cal a day, drinking 8 glasses of water, and this weight is not coming off......to top it off....my friend and I went into this wls together ....she opted for gastric bypass....and in 10 days has lost 16lbs. I guess I just thought I would lose faster....I am not discouraged.....just a little frustrated.....remember, I am only venting! :confused2:
  18. Thank you....for your concern. Well, I said I was going to send my cpap back, but yesterday the doctor said for me to use it until I lost 40lbs. He said it would help with my anxiety which I started having after surgery. Has anyone had anxiety since surgery? I only get it when I drive on the freeways. Maybe it doesn't have anything to do with the surgery.
  19. I cooked a pot of navy Beans.....it was heavenly. Another thing....I ate Parmesan Crusted Fish with veggies by Lean Cuisine. It was awesome. It is all soft food.
  20. Thanks to all for the prayers for my daughter. She is very weepy. I am going to bring her to my house so I can be with her 24/7. The grandbaby is doing great..... and hubby is doing a great job. Well, I went out to eat for the first time since surgery. I had a 1/4 cup of guacomole and a cheese enchilada. I still did not go over 900calories for the day. It was yum, but not as yum as losing a pound. I went to the endocrinologist today......thyroid was normal, but vitamin D in my body is very low so I will have to take a prescription of vitamin D for six months. I am so glad I started going to a specialist. My primary care doctor would have never checked the vitamin levels. Hopefully, this will prevent osteoporosis. CONGRATS LORI! Wow, fifty pounds......awesome! Janet, can we read the article when it comes out?
  21. AWESOME! Nancy, you are an inspiration to us too!
  22. Janet .....this is number 8, but this was my baby girl's first baby....she is 31. She had a twenty hour labor then when she delivered she hemorrhaged. Her blood count is 7. She is taking mega doses of iron instead of getting a transfusion. So she needs alot of help. My grandaughter is fine....she weighed 8.2lbs. We are blessed.
  23. :thumbup:Yea! Phyllser is back! :thumbup:We missed you! :sad:This thread cannot function properly without you and Indiogirl. I hope you had a great time on your vacation.
  24. Well, I haven't been posting or reading the posts because I have a new grandaughter. Just losing the small amount of weight has really helped me be more mobile. I think I had a PB today. I waited to long to eat and when I did I ate tuna and crackers. I took a large bite.....my chest started hurting.....and I started getting slime in my mouth. I did that little trick someone said to do.....putting my arms above my head....and it worked. I hope I don't do that again.....it hurts!:Banane37::eek::sleep2:
