Thanks Kimaly! Bethany Marie arrived at 5:19.....she weighed 7.9lbs. I still don't know how long she is. Sydney had a meltdown at the hospital and we left with her screaming. I went back today.....and Sydney went to Mother's day out. She is staying with me for another day. She really has been good except for the hospital. My daughter had a fairly easy delivery which was quite different from last time. My eating is horrible. I am gonna get on track. I haven't gained any weight, but I need to lose fifty more. This wrong eating is not helping. And I see Dr. Davis next week. Yikes! So, are we down to three butterflies. Where is everyone?

Good Morning Gang.....Did a Mack truck roll over me last night?......feel like it. Oh, no, it is just my DGD. She was still crying......so yes, she slept with us. She is going to Mommy's Day Out this morning and we are going to go hold our new DGD. I have to stop by the grocery store and get some roses for DD.....and some muffins. DD is so happy there weren't complications. We are thankful! Apples, what started the funeral thing? Now we know your plans. We will back you up! I started paying for our funerals nine years ago. I know....weird, but my inlaws bought theirs(saved us a ton when they passed) and sent the guy to our house. I have a brown casket with pink interior and little embroidered flowers. DH's is blue with light blue interior and I think a cross. I don't even remember the songs I picked out. We both want to be buried at Veterans Memorial in Houston. Servicemen and their spouses are FREE....and they decorate the graves at Christmas. It is beautiful. I think cremation with a memorial service is fine. I would have done it had I not purchased these plans. Back in biblical times cremation was only for those who didn't have familiy. I think that is why the Catholic Church frowned on it. They don't anymore. Okay, that's my two cents on furnerals. The upside of this is in heaven we will be totally fit.......the way God created us to be. YAY! I have DGD for another night.....then mommy and daddy will be home tomorrow and she can sleep in her bed. Thanks for all the best wishes !! I am really happy.....tired, but happy!

Baby came at 5:19.....Joyce you won. She weighed 7.9lbs. Don't know the length.....we had to leave because Sydney was screaming" Mommy, I love you". That was an hour ago and she is still crying and screaming.....breaking my heart. So, now time for bath and bed.....got a case of the dreads having to put her to bed. She just might have to sleep with me. Oh, Kelly is fine......thanks for all the prayers! I will check in tomorrow. Love y'all!!!!

SIL text......she is about to start pushing.....Apples...Maybe......or Joyce?

Apples is the next one on the list at 4:23. I haven't heard from my SIL. Maybe she is pushing by now. I don't want him to get a text at such a crucial time. I am getting DGD ready to go see her new sister. I got out her "Big Sister" shirt and her new pink polka dot bow. I tried putting her hair up, but it is so curly and fine. It will probably be out of the band by the time we get there. CBL when I hear something.

Speaking of Labor Day.......my DD is in labor right now. Hopefully it won't be long. I am at home with my grand daughter just waiting to go up to the hospital. Two year old don't do too well in waiting rooms.

DD just text me.....she has epidural in and is still a 4, but stretchy....asked me what that meant.....H ! I don't know. I haven't had a baby in 34 years. Must be a newer term. It's not raining dogs anymore....just cats. Oh, Julie.......Prayers and HUGS for you. Something is in a bind in your body. They will find it. Have a safe trip! Whoever wins ........I will buy them a drink in Vegas!

Good pick! I may have to swim to see the baby.....you have heard the saying "Raining Cats and Dogs"......I think it is raining Labs and German Shepherds. We are under a flash flood warning. I got DGD down for a nap. She usually sleeps two hours. Now, back to crocheting that dang baby blanket. Apples, my daughter won't let me come in anyway. She doesn't like visits while in labor. I was like that....so I respect their time together. We live about 25 minutes from the hospital.....well, we do when the sun is shining. I'll report in when I get another text from SIL.

Sydney is coloring next to me. If she sees me on the computer I will have to share. Hopefully, my DD is hooked up to the juice to start her labor. My SIL said he will text me with updates. Janet .....it is pouring here. No, Brownsville is about 300 miles from here, but we are on the dirty side of the storm so there are a lot of rain bands going through. It is time for you to be DGM and not DM. You will like it! I am sure you will feel like a true empty nester, but it will grow on ya. Lori, so glad you are better. There are viruses going around down here. I haven't had one since being banded and I really don't want to experience it either. It is so hard to get depressed people to see they will feel better on medication. Usually it has to be an incident of some kind before they will get help. I hope your mother will listen to your sister. Apples, well, I know you will enjoy having both boys around for awhile. My DS may have moved in with us, but he is in love. I don't think he will be here long. He came home yesterday to pack for NY. He said we will meet his girlfriend this weekend. Now, that is serious! Eva, WooHoo!! 18 and counting down! I just got a text....DD is hooked up to juice....she is at 3, and 60% effaced. I am betting on 3:00p today. Anyone else want to take a guess at when Bethany will arrive?

Just checking in.......DD is bringing DGD over right now and then off to the hospital. The rain has stopped for now. Hopefully, it won't flood today. I want clear sailing for DD. DGD and I will go up to the hospital if Bethany is born before DGD's bedtime. Janet, you looked good for your concerts....glad you had a great time. I watch Hoarders too. Makes me want to go clean a closet. lol I can understand being overwhelmed by stuff, but filth.....I don't get it. It is definitely something going wrong in the mind. Apples, glad to see the green posts again. I am so happy DS decided to move back to MN. Linda, awesome news about Katie. Hopefully, this was her Ah-ha moment. Still praying for her.

Laura, just read your post.......sweet story about Nels.....he is so thoughtful. My father-in-law was so cold after chemo. He was tough like your dad......a real fighter. Yeah, it is so to know how your dad is really feeling. I hope he perks up soon.

Hi gang! I did get my walk in this morning before the rain bands from Hermine. She is going into Mexico, but we are on the dirty side so it will be yucky around here for a couple of days. I will have Sydney while DD is laboring away. She will go in the morning unless an emergency bumps her from her scheduled inducement. Sydney is all ready with her "Big Sister" shirt. I got things kid proofed for tomorrow then crocheted another 10 rows. My sight is a blur so this blanket will not be ready for Bethany's arrival. Julie, I made Baptismal gowns for the first two DGDs. I crocheted dresses for them too. My other DD brought them to me for the two baby girls. I want to have their picture made in them. Joyce.......get ready, this storm will be in Kansas on Thursday. Lori, are you feeling better? Jessica......I hope you get to the source of Jacob's problem with school. Hugs! on balancing school, volunteering, and taking care of your family. It is a big job, but you can do it!!!! I agree with Cheri about testing. My DS was labeled the class clown in kinder. He struggled so much with his reading. He was always the most popular kid in his class. He graduated and went in the Air Force.... went to college and got his degree. Then about two years ago he was diagnosed with ADD. He is 36. I just wish someone had suggested it to me when he was starting school. He may have avoided a lot of detention after school. Linda, so glad your DSD is doing a little better. I am still praying for you and family. HUGS!!!!! Janet, you must have had an awesome time. We want to know all about it!!! I'll check in tomorrow.....let you know about DD and baby. Please say a prayer for her. Her name is Kelly. Thanks!!!

One DAy, Citilapram(sp) generic for celexa is really cheap. It is similar to Lexapro. Might tell doctor you can only afford generics. Okay, my DD will be induced tomorrow. I will have the two year old. I would rather keep her at home than at the hosptial. We are going up there after Bethany is born. We live about 25 minutes from there. I will be busy this week. I will check in. I am not weighing this week. I am frustrated going up 2lbs down 2lbs. I know why......too many calories and carbs. Did I tell y'all I bought the book "Break the Fat-Loss Code" by Wendy Chant. She goes step by step an eight week plan to get off the diet plateau by outsmarting your metabolism. Anyway, need to kick start my weight loss. I want to lose five lbs before I see Dr. Davis on the 17th. YIKEs! Happy Labor Day??????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I couldn't get on line last night again, but today everything is working fine. Yesterday, DH and I just loafed all day. I did do laundry and fixed a couple of meals, but that's about it. Today I got up and walked again 4.2 miles. It took me an hour and a half, but I don't care so much for the speed right now, I'm looking for the stamina. I still want to be up to 6 miles by the end of the month, but we'll see how that goes. Eva, wow! 4.2.....Awesome! The most I have done at one time is 2....so far. If you are getting ready to walk 6 miles in Vegas....leave me behind! If it is for Argentina.....good for you!!!!! Thanks! for the props, but we just did what we were supposed to do.......it was a God thing......although the devil gave us Hell a lot of the time. We feel blessed now, but we did question our decision while we were raising them. Lots of Drama!...... still drama, but it is not our responsibility now. Lori, I know you must be so hurt. Wait till they have kids......they will remember hurting you when they are dissed. My DS that moved in is serious with this new girlfriend. He told her if they were to marry his parents will not be treated second class this time around. When his ex and him came to town they had to drive right by our house on their way to her parents. Sometimes my ex DIL would drive up in the driveway for me to see my new GS......we called it a Drive by visit. Oh, now, since she is an ex....we are close, but there is no competition. I get to see my GS anytime. So girl, I know just how you feel and it hurts big time!!!! HUGS! HUGS! HUGS! Janet, forgot to tell you to have a great time this eve. Jodi, congrats on the commercial! Well, I crocheted 10 rows before I went cross-eyed. Gotta get back to it. HUGS! to all peeps on this thread. Happy Labor Day!

I'm here to help...
Hi gang! Well, I am somewhat recovered from yesterday I did not walk this morning before church, but I needed the rest. I will double up this evening. Several ladies commented on my size. They asked if I lost a lot more weight.....no.....just walked. I was hiding my stomach pretty good. Oh well,.....it made me feel good. Charlene Babies will come when they are ready to. Best to let nature take its course unless intervention is urgently needed. I never liked the idea of scheduled inductions unless they are necessary for the health of the mother and baby. Whatever your DD doctor says....then be patient it will happen as you know. Jodi, My daughter had complications last time. She was in labor eighteen hours....the epidural did not work....and she hemorrhaged and herniated a disk. So, this is a different doctor and hospital. She assured DD that she will do a c-section if she is not progressing after four hours of labor. My DD did have back surgery when Sydney was six weeks old. It was tough on her, and me too. I have a lot more confidence in this doctor and the hospital is a woman's hospital that specializes in difficult pregnancies. I do think it is good to let everything take it's course, but we just don't want a repeat of last time. Linda, a ventilator is when they can't breathe on their own. You were right. I had a friend on one for three months......not good. Then then she had to go to another hospital to wean her off of it. It sounds like your daughter is progressing . Sorry for the ordeal your DGD is having to go through. GM is the one missing out on her DGD. You will meet your GS one day. He is in a good place. I am sure his new parents are giving him the best life. HUGS and Prayers for you and family. Janet, you are right about this drug culture. That is reason I adopted my cousins. Their dad was and is and addict. I just don't know how he is still alive. He was one sorry A$$. He even sold my cousin's Methadone (used for pain) when she was dying of melanoma. I think he is addicted to Oxycontin now. My son(cousin) did go see him a couple of years ago......made him grateful that we gave him a good life. Okay, I have got to finish crocheting the baby blanket. I ran out of excuses! Have fun today! Oh, Julie, I heard that show was not too good. I very seldom go to the movies. I did go see Leonardo's latest. It was awesome, but you have to see it a few times to really "get it".

Hi gang! Whew......my three youngest grandkids have gone home. I enjoyed it, but i am tired. I did manage to finish sewing and embroidering burp diapers this morning. Oh, I did walk this morning.....going to do it again when the sun goes down. Linda.......so glad to hear that DSD is holding her own.....and Aylah is not fretting over her mother being gone. I will continue to pray. HUGS!!! Laura.......sounds like a great time with your parents.....and Nels.......so precious. Joyce....Yeah, it sounds like there is a lot in common among us. I am so thankful that our guru Janet started this thread or else we would not have met. Kierstyun......Just follow doctors instructions. They all have their own pre-op ....mine was 13 days of Protein Shakes and One day of Clear Liquids. One day....I am so glad I didn't have to pay for waxing. It was bad enough paying for three hair cuts every month. That doesn't count the girls. Gotta go walk........CBL!

Hey peeps......just checking in. DD and I went to breakfast.....had one scrambled egg and one Breakfast sausage link. Then off to Target and bought some last minute stuff for the baby and for my house. I guess we walked too long. DD started spotting and having pains. We called the doctor, but all pain and spotting stopped. The doctor said for her to be a couch potato this weekend and come in early Tuesday. She said if labor started up she would meet her at the hospital. I still haven't finished sewing. Linda, wow, you have been through it. I hope they find an antibiotic to work for her. Yes, sometimes you have to exercise "tough love". Your step son has to pull himself out of the ditch. Prayers for You and Family! Julie, I hope you have a pain free weekend. I was so proud of being able to get off the floor.....I did it again today. Girl, I bought the stuff for you toffee bar recipe. I have to wait till Jakob has time so we can practice. Joyce......Welcome to MacWorld! I am so glad my DH takes care of everything or I wouldn't be online right now. Jodi.......you sound busy for sure. Yep, stay out of the way of hurricanes.......voice of experience here. Our area is still rebuilding from Ike in 08. Lori, have a great weekend with the kiddos! Janet, enjoy the empty nest! I like it! Mine won't be empty tomorrow........three grandkids and DS is due home from San Fran, but he will be making a beeline for his girlfriend's home. I hope y'all have a great evening!

Hi gang! I went out walking this morning, but the lightning chased me home......it is pouring down now. Linda, I am so sorry for your step daughter. I will be praying for her and your family. Now, what is her name? I might have it wrong, but doesn't she have a chronic disease.....diabetes? Cheri, Awesome! on the Meet and Greet. No better way than to start the year with blessing the children. Love your prayer too! Janet, No, Andrew is not grown, but he thinks he is. So it is better for him to go help his mom with his siblings.....good grow up lesson. Eva, don't laugh, but I surprised myself. For years I have had to pull up on a chair or couch if I sat on the floor. The other day when I babysat Sydney I went to change her diaper. She would not get on the couch for me to change her. She laid on the floor. So, I got down on the floor and changed her.......I got up without holding on to a chair or the couch. I am stronger than I thought. Now for Sydney to get potty trained so I don't have to keep doing that. With the new baby coming potty training is on the "to do " list for DD. I will be doing breakfast today with DD......Omelet. Then to have pedi and run errands. Then I have to finish sewing for Bethany. I will check in tonight. Janet, FYI, I only had about 3oz of fajita meat and two spoons of refried Beans last night at the Mexican restaurant. I just have to eat meat at least once a week.

Well my family drama - Andrew has moved out - we had a tiff again last night about animals - told him he needed to go.. He called right now and said he's at his mom's that he moved out - wanted to know if if I was mad = said no that I think we need a break - he said oh so you are happy (yes I am but can't say that) I said not but need some time apart - we are fighting too much - but that he had to come home 10/1 to watch the dogs cuz I was going to Vegas - think I will ask gf to come too just in case.. But you want to know what - he cleaned the house and washed down the garage (animal's poop in there) .. Though that was kinda funny thing to do if you are moving out.. So I am a HAPPY empty nester for a while - we will see how long it last ... He's welcome home - but this thing about dogs has to quit.. Janet, I know what you are going through. When my adopted son turned 19 he still had a semester of high school left.....he graduated then quit his job and laid in his bed till about noon everyday. He started fighting with me until I told him one of us was going to get hurt. He moved out for about four months and came back just before he went into the service. Then when he got out of the service he came home. After awhile we started fighting again. He moved out. A few months ago he told me how sorry he was for arguing with me. He realized how PO'd he was at his mother for dying. We get along fine now. He is 37. Sometimes it just takes time to figure it out. You do need a break. Enjoy your concert and clubbing. I think Mary J Blige is an awesome singer. She is so beautiful. I'm not going anywhere.....babysitting and on babywatch too. I am going to get my toes done tomorrow with DD. We took her out for Mexican food tonight, and tomorrow I am taking her to Breakfast before the pedi.....anything to keep her happy. Hugs!!!

Well, Lori I guess you have a little Texan in you because people here call all "soda water" a coke. Our pigs in a blanket are little smokies wrapped in flaky biscuits. Janet, no baby. I went to DD's house this morning and mopped, vacuumed, cleaned refrigerator, and cleaned bathrooms. I can't believe I did all that after walking. Now, I have to get my floors done. Yeah, I have a cleaning lady, but I am sharing her with DD till October. DD is miserable. She doesn't think she will make it to Tuesday. That may be wishful thinking. Julie, so sad about Bailey. I hope they can get custody of her. If they could just talk her into temporary custody it would be good for her. HUGS and Prayers for them. Sorry gang! I have been gone all day and I have not read all the posts. I will try to do it this eve. I promise to check in when DD goes into labor. I will have Sydney so I will be here. Plus I will have two more grandkids on Saturday. Woohoo! Fun weekend! Oh, Eva, Janet's right......you can go to school online for just about anything now. Check it out.

Laura k, that is what I figured. My stomach muscles are mush. My friend that had PS in April got her tummy, boobs, and arms done at the same time. The tummy tuck was the most uncomfortable. They gave her about five drugs for pain, sleep, anxiety. Most of the real surgery pain was gone in a week. Her tummy was sore for weeks, but you go to all kinds of massage therapy so the scars heal smooth. Boy, her tummy is tight. The doctor really pulled the muscles up. She looks great. Her surgery for the tummy and boobs was about 17,000. You have a good price. I think the whole thing was about 26,000. Eva, yes, the walking really has made me feel better. According to the measurements I took I am smaller everywhere ,but my hanging stomach. It has gone down, but not like the rest. I don't worry about my arms. I don't wear sleeveless or even real short sleeve. Well, I got up at 4am. The weather is changing again......so says my body. I took Ibuprofen. I will get out and walk at 6am. That should take care of the pain. Okay, peeps.........Have a great day!
