  1. I feel like I am headed for a revision. I am looking at Aceves also. How much (ballpark) is it with him? I am having a barium swallow with upper GI to check on the band tomorrow. I just have this feeling that there is something not right. I am three years out which would make it about time for something to go wrong (it seems!).
  2. OregonDaisy-who are you having your revision surgery with?

    picking a plastic surgeon

See http://www.lapbandtalk.com/members/3745.html She had PS with brzowski (sp?) and looks FABULOUS. I am sure she would probably answer any questions you have. I am in Oregon but am seriously thinking of going to him for a consult. Let us know what you decide!
  4. Hi all! I am 37 pounds from goal and determined to get there. I have been at the same weight for 18 mos. I had my lap band 3 years ago. I will definitely be getting a LBL & Breast work done. After going to a surgeon yesterday I am somewhat discouraged by cost. Is anyone willing to share general ballpark for this? I have seen a few answers in other threads. I am in Oregon but am thinking of going to Texas for surgery. I am guessing things would be cheaper there but maybe I am wrong. The Portland surgeon's quote was over $19000 for the LBL and around $10000 for breast lift/reduction. Thanks to everyone who share their PS stories and pics, it is SO helpful!

    Bodybugg users report here!

I got mine at the end of January, used for two weeks and was totally obsessed with it. Then I got the flu which lasted about 3 freakin weeks. And I have not gotten back "into" the bugg yet. But I NEED to. I still need to lose 30 lbs!

    Surgeon Seeking Feedback

IAASW - I had to laugh when I read your post about the psychological testing. I was banded by Eric Pinnar (when he was practicing with his father) and he and his whole staff were really great. HOWEVER, that psychologist who I notice is in his office now was HORRIBLE! I hated her. They actually had a separate (and actual) nutritionist when I was going through the process that was really great, and informative. At my "psychological" evaluation she spent most of the time talking about what to eat post-op. It was truly a waste of time. But, I will say one of the best parts of pre-surgical information was talking (while doing the 5 hours of filling bubbles in) with Patty (the psycho's receptionist) who is also banded. She is so nice and really gave me a lot good information. The should drop the psycho and let Patty do pre-op counseling!
  8. Amy, You are going to look so good! I am excited to see your results because my tummy looks a lot like yours.

Fills in Greater Washington DC area

I have no idea if they do Mexico patients but I go to Dr. Robert Pinnar http://www.pinnarsurgical.com. The PA, Paul does the fills and is really great. I actually had surgery with his son, Dr. Eric Pinnar. Now they have two different practices (they were practicing together when I had my surgery). His website is Synchrony Health :: Home.

    Bodybugg users report here!

I just got my Bugg on Monday and LOVE it!! I think it is really going to help. I was banded in 12/05 and lost 70 lbs by 12/06 and have remained there (at 180ish - going from 175 to 180 monthly) since then. I REALLY want to lose 50 more pounds. I have struggled getting the proper fill amount and have been lazy about actually making an effort. Anyhow, I feel really empowered with my Bugg!
  11. I am getting frustrated. About two months ago, I had pretty decent restriction but not enough. After losing 75 pounds I have been plateau-ed for almost a year. I have about 30-50 lbs still to lose. So, went in for a fill. Well, it ended up being too tight so went for a slight unfill then ended up with very little restriction. Went back, and there was only 1/2 of the fill that was supposed to be there. The dr. thought he just screwed up and filled me back up. Well, now I don't have much restriction again. So, am going back for fluoro. This totally sucks b/c I am self pay. Not sure if I can afford to have it fixed even if it is a leak. Is anyone self pay that had a leak?

    Hi!

Hi everyone! Thanks for the warm welcome. I am three days out from my surgery and feeling better. I went to work today for about 5 hours and it was ok but I was about to collapse when I came home! Is there another get together already set up? I definitely want to try and make it.

    Home & Banded!

I just got my band today! I am feeling ok, I just can't really get comfortable and my back is hurting. It is ok, though. I am excited to be starting this journey. I have a list of Vitamins that the nutrionist at my surgeon's office recommended. I will post them a little bit later in the Vitamin thread. Wish me a quick recovery! I have no idea how I am going to get in 64oz of Fluid like they want me to. What a job!!
  14. Hi everyone! I have surgery date of Dec 13. I still have to get a psychological evaluation. Neither of the two my surgeon reccommends will work. Can anyone reccomend (I know, I can not spell this word!!) a psychologist? Also, did anyone get cold feet close to their surgery date? I am starting to wonder if this is the right thing. I am scared I will fail and it would be a very expensive failure!! --Ann :Bunny
