my insurance approved and Im waiting to get my surgery date as surgeon is out of town till the 2nd week of august. Could use a mentor

definetly a great feeling, i thought bout calling insurance to double check but i was afraid that if i did they would find something wrong and take the approval back.

Ok Here is just a couple things I came up with for now

congrats i know how u feel i just found out i was approved today, i been battling with insurance company cause there policy stated i didnt need a psych eval and they was trying to make me do it. but god looked out and they approved me with a letter from the surgeon office stating i have had no past issues.

Ok little background. I had started preop diet back in december and finished in June. My surgeon sent soem info to my primary insurance Aetna. Well they said they wanted me to do a psych eval even though the clinical policy stated I didnt have to due to no past issues etc. Well I was going to go on the 22nd and was going to have to pay out of pocket $260 because my insurance wouldnt cover the doctor. Well I just got home and my phone started ringing. I answered and the lady asked for me I told her it was me. She said whom she was (she was the nurse/receptionist that sends the stuff off and i been talking to almost everyday lately) well she asked when my psych appt was. I told her tuesday and she said well I need you to cancel it. My heart sank I was like oh no and asked why, she said and I qoute "Your Approved" all I could get out was How. She said that she decided to send the stuff into insurance today and take a chance and she wrote a letter stating that I have never had any psych issues and that I was coming upon the time running out, and she said she got a approval almost immediately. Yall I am so freaking excited. She said the lady will review charts tomorrow and will call for my preop appt (if needed) and that I can have surgery as soon as my surgeon gets back which will be the 2nd week of august. Yall I am literally bouncing off the walls and so excited. I started to cry. I was so scared they would find a reason to deny me cause they have been such a pain in the butt lately but nope i got the approval. And they gave her a approval number and will be sending the letters out. God is truly awesome! I just got to praise him!!:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

Ok I have a question. I am willing to come up with something. I want to know what yall would kinda want on it, colors, etc. I will make a glitter one (i have a simple one in mind), then I will make one for the guys (they need to give there opinion all so) and then another for us women. As for the note yall I am so sorry that I sounded harsh. I have had alot of stuff going on insurance trying to screw me over and everything and plus pmsing i think (i have iud so dont know when that time is cause i dont have it kwim) But thank you for being understanding and sorry that we all took everything out of context.

oh as to the other question no my name was not on the signature thing, it was a totally different signature they was just side by side.

ok look how bout we just drop this all cause im tired of being accused of being rude when im definetly not, i was just stating that i had made it prior to anyone coming on here, didnt say it had to stick, and i do have stuff good to say, just hate that everyone seems to be argueing with me for some reason. When i specifically said that i wasnt trying to be rude or anything. Its so hard to say stuff on the internet cause the context of the message is hard to understand so some things that are simple could be taken out of context so its easy to be misjudged.

no its not that i dont want to be part of the group, i was here before any body and when i was trying to come up with the name no one was around to help therefor i took polls in the chat and this name was decided on . i honestly dont care anymore, its just a stupid name and i only go onto the chat now anyways, but when someone has already gone through alot of work that should be taken in consideration and I shouldnt be jumped on just cause i voiced my opinion. this is just the internet not real life kwim.

congrats, my surgeon sent stuff to aetna on the 25th and i just found out on monday they are demanding me to do a psych eval now even though the clinical policy states other wise. So now Im waiting to get it done. There is not a psych within 30 miles form my house that is in network with aetna so im having to get a clinical deficiency and earliest i can get in with the psych the surgeon recommends is not till the 31st. I was hoping to be banded by aug 4th and it doesnt look like its going to happen so pray for me, and congratulations im really happy for u.

congrats, what insurance do you have? I was waiting on my approval and found out monday they are now demanding a psych eval so my plans of being banded aug 4th isnt going to happen cause I cant get to psych eval till the 31st :thumbs_down:

Doesnt matter to me yall can choose what name yall want but as for me I have had this signature for about 5 mths now on here and Im not changing so I will keep it and yall can do whatever. No this is not meant to cause a arguement its just my opinion when alot of time has been put into something its not as easy to just whip up stuff u know and im quite happy with the two I have, the one in my siggie and another I havent shown yet. THe 1st visit is 175 i believe its for the this one test you have to do along with the first consultation. Then $175 for the inbody testing and consult with dietician, the 3rd appt is $225 its the consult with the surgeon itself. I was told that once surgery is completed that you get the surgeon consultation fee reimbursed or put towards the deductible. My husband didnt agree with having to pay upfront cause we have 2 insurances but we did. As far as Malipar I went to his seminar 2 yrs before deciding on the lap band, and he plainly states he does not do the lapband, he doesnt believe in it, doesnt recommend it, etc. He said that if he had a patient that wanted the band that he would refer them to a different surgeon cause he wouldnt do it. With dr facundus I love the fact that I can actually understand him. He looks like you wouldnt be able to understand a word he says. But his english and accent is perfect. Sounds normal. I had to do the 6 mth diet prior to it so that insurance would cover it. I am having to do a psych eval and then should be approved and banded next month.

my insurance requires the 6 mth diet. i have already completed mine and waiting for my psych eval so that I can get my approval and have my surgery next month.

my unjury came pretty quick, i orderd, the chocolate, vanilla, and the fruit one cant remember the name i havent orderdt he unflavored or chicken one yet so let me know how the unflavored works out.

I havent been banded yet but Im using Dr Facundus. I am in the waiting for approval process. I just found out that my insurance is now demanding psych evals even though the policy didnt state that I would be required. I would be glad to answer what questions I can. I am planning to have the surgery hopefully by mid august.
