I got past the hungry stage, THANK GOD
I also was hungry for the first 2 weeks but now its so much better. Once I could eat soft food, mashed potatoes and gravy, eggs, cottage cheese, I was satisfied and all the hunger went away once I could eat solid food.

Removing the clear surgical tape over the incisions?
I guess I'll have to try the Olive Oil also. I was told I could remove the tape after a few days or when the incision started to dry up. The one thing that will NEVER happen is ripping it off at once for 5 times. Why couldn't they just use gauze?? I'm afraid its going to open the sutures.

Removing the clear surgical tape over the incisions?
I been trying to slowly peel off the tape and it hurts like hell!!!! This just may be the worse part of the surgery. Any suggestions on how to get the tape off painlessly?

NEED HELP! Smoking.... possible Chantix?
I said it was barely worth it because yes it helped me to quit smoking which without it would have been 100 times harder and I succeeded. But after it was said and done, two years of pretty severe depression was horrible. And, depression is MOST def a side effect of Chantix. My physician diagnosed it from Chantix usage.

I like to cook and kinda hate prefab food
Yup, just finished making a large pot of chicken stock today. I bought 4 oz. plastic containers to freeze it in. I then pulsed the chicken in a food processor and added chicken gravy, made from the stock, to that. The chicken and broth all got frozen. I plan on getting another chicken to pulse up in the food processor to freeze. This time I will add BBQ sauce, teriyaki sauce, spaghetti sauce, buffalo sauce and taco seasoning. NEED HELP! Smoking.... possible Chantix?
I did quit on Chantix. It helped tremdously. I started to get irritable and having strange dreams after 3 weeks so I stopped taking Chantix immediately. Bad choice as I found out later. Although I did stop smoking 9 years ago, I suffered from very bad depression for 2 years because I quit Chantix without weaning off. I would say it was barely worth it. Any October 11th Sleevers out there?
I am pretty sure you don't have to tell them why you need off while requesting sick leave. I believe if you request FMLA your rights should be protected. I would request FMLA papers from your HR at work for your doctors to fill out. When you turn them back in make sure they go directly to Hr.

Curious questions...
Hi everyone! I'm Micki and new to this forum. I just completed all the requirements for the insurance company and am waiting on approval for sleeve surgery, which my doctor's office seems to think will be no problem. Three years ago I saw a weight loss medical doctor who prescribed Phentermine which I was on for 15 months, (she called it off label). I loss all my weight and and wished I could have been on Phen forever! It gave me the feeling of never thinking about food or caring if I ever ate again. I was wondering how you felt compared to how I did on Phen after things normalized after surgery for you. Once the doctor took me off Phen, I slowly gained all my weight back and she told me that 80% of the patients on Phen do gain their weight back! Now why didn't that B**** tell me that before!! So, my next question is ..how many have gained all their weight back after surgery? I can understand a normalizing period where you may gain some back, but some is not all. I'm just hoping that surgery is a more permanent effect. Nice meeting you in advance! And Thanks Micki
