I hate this for you!!! This is a classic example of what Joseph Heller meant when he wrote "Catch 22". What a load of poop they don't fill things out. If this is true, they are the only clinic on the planet who doesn't. I mean medical people have to ok all kinds of things...there's nothing different with your bipolar than my broken let when it comes to stating whether I am medically able or not. Is there any way you can pay for a private therapist to evaluate you? You know, a psych evaluation? that would be cheaper than going to Mexico. I hate clinics sometimes. Not that I'm happy you're having these feelings, but I feel relieved because I am a walking emotion. I'm scared, sad, happy, excited, scared, sad, happy, etc. if you get my drift. I'm teaching summer school and I have to be very careful with my kids because I might scare 'emm! Anyway, good luck to you!

Hi All, I'm having surgery on July 25 and man I'm feeling funny! I'm scared, sad, excited, crazy, and I feel alone. I don't know why I'm feeling the sadness and and sense of being all alone in this venture. I speculate that in part I'm giving up what has comforted, controlled, and protected me for a long time. I know I'm doing the right thing tho'. Has anyone else had these kinds of feelings?

My doc said I would feel great for about two weeks after surgery, fatigued for a couple of weeks after that and then pretty much smooth sailing. What the heck! might as well enjoy the good weather while you can! I'm scheduled for July 25. NERVOUS! Nancy K.

I get the whole pre op diet thing. What I don't get is why some surgeon's do and some don't. Mine doesn't. I have surgery for July 25. I had my final pre-op appt. and was scared to death my weight was going to be an ounce over goal:). Look at it this way. The surgeon probably does 't want to lose money by rescheduling you...I be you'll be fine if you stick it out the rest of the way. Good luck!
