I talked to about 3 gastric bypass patients who drink ginger ale and said that there doctor said that's the only soda OK to have. Hmmm mines said all is a no no. My oldest brother from my father side, he and his wife both had the gastric bypass , way before I thought of having it and i they both eat sweets, drink sodas, like I thought you could dump? I can down me some 24oz of Water like 4 times a day. So in love with ice cold water. But working I totally forgot my water bottle and certain ice machines at work the ice taste horrible, so long story short, my attitude started changing ,I started getting depressed, I even told my supervisor I can't do this today and I was walking towards the door to leave. But he stopped me and just wanted to talk see what it was and really I have no clue , I just got over whelmed, depressed I even shed a tear or two, so I stayed at work , once I got home it got even worse, and I mean I felt so thirsty my husband brought me my 24oz water I drunk the whole bottle literally 10 seconds later I yelled please bring me some cold water , he said again what's wrong with you, this one was a 16.9oz water bottle I demolished it. 6 in the morning I woke I needed my zero Powerade ice cold. I don't understand, I can't be dehydrated because I get all 64oz plus more of water . Yesterday was strange to me any ideas of what it could be I never experience anything like that. I'm 5 weeks out post-op Yani

I haven't been drinking my Protein Shakes , I don't have no sugar at least nothing I'm not suppose to have as far as sodas candy cakes I don't eat or have any of that . what I do have is salmon, Spanish, sugar free freeze pops , or sugar free ice cream. I have a half of boiled egg. Love me some water. I did have a bacon sandwich. And I was drinking G2 Gatorade which I just stopped on Tuesday . what could have put the 6 pounds on me? I don't work out to be honest anymore just don't have the strength. My menstral just came on yesterday but got news that I gained Tuesday. So I don't quite understand Yani

Yes the Flintstones Vitamins are nasty so what I do is take them in the bathroom and I brush my teeth , tongue twice , gargle twice the taste us gone. Not understanding how I gained 4 pounds , do all I'm pose except the Protein shakes until I find one that agrees with me. My primary care said the G2 Gatorades might have done it because they have 7 grms of sugar but that's what my surgeon suggested that I drink with my Water as well. Amen you preach. I thank you all and like you said use the resources we have plenty here or our surgical team who is with us forever. Let's continue to uplift and build one another, because the world don't understand they look at it as we took a easy way out. No we didn't take a easy way out, our way just wasn't working so we got help just as others who get help with whatever is holding them back and damaging their health. Let's keep going forward.
