  2. Everything runs smooth, you feel great when you take small bites, eat the right foods and drink your liquids 30 mins after eating. You gonna have some bumps in the road when you allow your mind to tell you to have what you can't have or having to soon . But if you really want this to work you will do the work. I'm learning each day the Lord allows me to open my eyes. I'm learning and not deviating from the plan that's gonna give me more of a future / A healthy one at that. It gets hard sometimes but I think about where I was, and where I want to be and I go right instead of left. Knee pain I have no desire to have anymore, out of breath from just lacing up my shoes I don't want anymore, diabetes I don't want anymore and high blood I don't want anymore. But life I want to breath that. On yo a new healthy me. Some days get hard but the blessing is in the pressing Sent from my N9520 using the BariatricPal App

  8. Can I ask you this, Do you believe in God? The reason I said this because I was you, our story sounds the same except my son passed 2months before his second birthday. I was so afraid of having this surgery, I too said what if I die, I too love food, I too suffered with high blood, diabetes and arthritis in my knees, but ,I never ever had surgery a day in my life , never been put to sleep, heck I never broken a bone, so imagine how I was feeling, just like you. But when I stepped out and allowed God to step in and trust him fully with my life my worries begin to fade away. I can say I never gave fear a second thought on that operating table on September 14, 2016 yes last month I had the RNY surgery. Think of your health , have strength and put your power into play , fear not. You just put it all in Gods hands . you will do just fine Sent from my N9520 using the BariatricPal App

  12. Yes wait 30 mins the best way for me is when I eat I won't have nothing to drink near me, I eat and that's it until 30-40 mins later I get something to drink if there's room yet. Please wait , you wouldn't want to feel that full feeling and having to bring everything back up. And at @Torriluv87: yes don't drink Water after you just had your Protein shake, instead brush your teeth and tongue and gargling after will help you. Best of luck ladies. I am a month out and experienced it all and figured it all out as you would as well Sent from my N9520 using the BariatricPal App
  13. @@shedo82773 thank you I will , but see liquids I can hold down with no problem , I'm gonna change a few things up on my end and see if that helps before I let them do the EGD Sent from my N9520 using the BariatricPal App
  14. Can anyone tell me a good Protein shake liquid, not powder that doesn't have whey in it that I can purchase. I been drinking premiere Protein Shake and my palms first and feet started itching so so bad. Assistant surgeon said she know it's the premiere protein shake that's causing it and to get another brand. I know it is to because now that I stopped it I no longer itch. And I believe it's from the whey that's in it. Sent from my N9520 using the BariatricPal App
  15. Yes I had hunger after my surgery on September 14 , but I didn't want to eat or drink anything. Gas pains yes had them to by the gas they put in you during your surgery. But walking helps the gas to pass. Very important to walk. The most important thing to prepare for is the discomfort, the hunger you may or may not feel everyone is different, being able to only sip liquids, Water . but most important that the hunger will come , it's all in your mind though, you gonna want this want that but you can no longer have them Sent from my N9520 using the BariatricPal App

  17. Today make a month since I had my Gastric bypass surgery. So happy to be here , to feel the weight come off and see it and to hear others say how good I'm looking. Though I told myself this surgery was not for me to look good , that's not why I did it, even though I do want that to come in play as well , but I did it to feel good, be healthy and I can say I am off diabetes meds, high blood pressure meds and my knees feel much , much , much better. Starting weight was 377lbs , pre-op weight 353 today 317 . September the 14 when I laid on that operating table I told myself this change is for you. Don't do it for nobody else but for you. 18. @Shedo82773: yes I eat slow , take small bites and and chew it well , no matter what I do it comes up. This sucks. I said to my sister I never looked forward to throwing up until I experienced the pain I have if I don't vomit. Sent from my N9520 using the BariatricPal App

  22. 4 weeks out and Everyday , everything I eat comes back up, hurts like h. e double hockey sticks until I vomit. This is becoming frustrating and can only eat a bite or two maybe. Plays with my mind on so many levels as one minute I so regret , so frustrated with my self for even getting this surgery , and some days I look forward to the healthy rewards.
