  1. I have had my band since 4/3/06. Its the 4 cc band. I was told in February 2008 that I had 3.5 ccs. I was getting restriction for about 2 weeks, then I lost it. Went to my doctor on 4/4/08 where he pulled out the saline and told me I had only 2 ccs. He didn't seemed that concerned. He put back a full 3 ccs. Now I feel that even water is hard to swallow. I feel like I have a lump in my throat. I am on liquids for 2 days and soft food for 2 days. I am afraid to try solids because of the restriction I feel. Is this normal, I have never felt this before. Is this what the sweet spot feels like or am I a little to tight? Should I just give it some time to adjust or call my doctor? What I want to know is will it loosen up on its own after a while? Any thoughts ?
  2. I was banded on 4/3/06 and lost 86 lbs. in less than a year. I have always been able to eat more than 4 oz at a meal. Every time I told my doctor that he gave me another fill. Well I have a 4 cc band and I have 3.5 cc in it. I can (for the last 6 months) eat without restriction, and it doesn't matter if I swallow my food in large pieces or chew throughly. I am going to see my doctor on Friday (4-4) for my last fill, I am hoping that I will feel restricted again so I can loss the rest of my weight!!
  3. I had my surgery in April of 2006. I had my gallbladder out in October of 2006, and a hysterectomy in March of 2007. In that time I lost 86lbs. I have not lost any weight since November of 2007. I have been complaining to my doctor since that time. He just kept giving me fills. I usually feel the restriction for about 2-3 weeks then I lose it. I also told my doctor this. He responded with joining a support group (thats why I'm on this site-by the way its been very helpful reading about all of you-THANKS) My doctor also said to go to a nutrictionist-which I did. Still no weight loss and NO restriction. I can eat a whole sandwhich ,2-3 slices of pizza, I can eat all day long, like before the surgery, I've already gained 10lbs. back. I have an appointment with my Doctor on April 4th. He is going to pull my fills out (I have 3.8 in a 4CC band) to see how much is in there and then he said we will take it from there. But I have to admit I am terrified!! Has anyone lost their restriction? Talk to me please! Is this as good as it gets for me-Am I done with the band-I am still about 100lbs over weight.:confused::crying::confused:

  5. Hey BlooEyez-- I am in awe of how little you can eat!! My band is full and I still fell like I have hardly any restriction-but this web site) particulary this part on what eveyone's eating) is very helpful. I just make out a list of what to buy on my next shopping trip. MORE protein! Thanks for the tip. I'll let you know how its going, if you don't mind?
  6. I went to Dr. Geiss's office (recommended by by primary care doc) but he was booked so his office asked if I would see the other doctor in this practice, Dr. Powers, anyone have any info on him?
  7. I have not lost any weight since November 2006. I had by lapband surgery on April of 2006. I lost 86 lbs. Its pretty frustraing because I wanted the lap band because I know what to eat just not how to stop! If I have to rely on my will power again I WILL FAIL!! Maybe I'm stupid but I know the lapband is a tool, but I need restriction. Also my doctor said my last fill (on February 15, 2008) was the last fill. My band can hold 4 ccs and my last fill had me at 3.2 ccs. Any suggestions?
  8. I had my lap band placed in April 2006. I lost 76 lbs., by November of 2006. I have not lost another pound to date. I feel like I have no restriction at all. I was just told by my doctor that my band is almost completely full and that I would not be receiving any more fills!! What do I do Now?
