  1. Hearing the weight loss from everyone makes me feel better. I thought I was loosing to slowly. I'm 5 weeks out from surgery and 16 pounds down. 26 if I count the 1 week pre-op diet. I just started to work out so hopefully more weight will start to come off. I lost 3 lbs last week and nothing this week. Does everyone agree working out makes weight drop faster? Should I wait to do weights until I loose more? Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App

  4. I'm only 6 days pro-op and I haven't felt really hungry yet. It has been hard because my husband and kids have been eating normally while im only on liquids. The food smells good but it passes quickly when I drink my liquids. I'm living for my 2 week post op diet right now just for some variety. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
  5. I had my surgery on August 10 and since I left the hospital on Thursday I have had horrible lower back pain almost like spasms. Is that normal? Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
  6. I'm 6 days post op. I vomited a few times in the hospital and had to stay over longer as a result. Docs wanted to make sure I could hold liquids down before I was discharged. I recèived lots of meds to help with it though. To early to tell if I would do it again, because I'm still not feeling well Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App

  16. Thanks anniebanana for the advice. I'm starting the prep op diet while on a business trip to California, so kind of nervous about that. My doctor has not restricted to total liquid. I can have solids like chicken and boiled eggs twice a day and the prep op diet is only 7 days. I thought that was strange since I have heard others say they were restricted to liquids only. 17. MissB1982. God will take care if you.. Think about the end results when your feeling anxious.. You will be healthier. The process took as long as it needed to.. You are having your surgery when God is ready for you to have it. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App

  23. I have been scheduled for my surgery on August 8th. I'm so excited and nervous at the same time. I was told that I can have up to 4 weeks off, sounds like I could be really weak post op and may need to take the full time. Any opinions on how long I should take off work.
