  1. Just prepare your self for the unexpected. I am one month post. My surgery was fast. They took me back at 7:45 by 10:30 I was in my room. The first thing waking up was the gas pain. As soon they let you get up and walk I would say do it. Even if you hurt it will help a lot with that gas pain. I felt so much better after they had me walk. Just remember it is all temporary it will get better and you will fell normal. I was off my pain in less then a week after. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  2. My pre op allowed lite Soup. If you can find a unflavored Protein powered you can mix into that to help you get your protein in. I found to if I drank my Protein shake fast it would fill me up. The first few days were the hardest just stick with it. Also you might try drinking something warm or hot. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  3. Just remember to take it slow. Don't take big sips. Trust me on that one. It's still surprise me how little it takes to fill me. I am one month post. The worst part for me was the dry mouth. They would let me rinse my mouth just don't swallow till your ready. It is best to start with ice chips. They go down much easier. Oh if they give you liquid pain meds and tell you take it like a shot DONT you stomach can't hand that much at once. Just sip it. It will be much better going down. They had me do it like a shot the first day and thought I was going throw up everywhere. The next dose I sipped much better. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
