  1. It will all go great on the 17th for you - I just know it! This was the best thing I have ever done for myself. Honestly, the surgery is nothing - and its a little sore after - but not bad. Just remember this will be an awesome thing for you! I have not received my first fill yet - but will in 4 weeks. I am excited but nervous as well - as I hate needles too. I asked my surgeon if it would hurt - and he said not too bad. (what is going to say, right:)?) lolol.... anyway - feel free to email me at cuteaustingirl4@yahoo.com if you would like to chat more. I am about to leave for a trip this weekend - but will be back Sunday. I am sending you good luck thoughts and look forward to hearing from you soon. Thanks! Amy
  2. I got my surgery yesterday - and just wanted to send thanks for all of your support! If anyone out there knows if there is a liquid version of the calcium citrate though, I would love to find out! Hate the lozenges by Bariatric Advantage:( Thanks! Amy:thumbup:
  3. I am looking to start a support group and also connect with others who have gotten - or are getting lap band surgery in Austin, TX. I am getting mine done on Monday 2/25! I wish everyone luck!! Email me or post back! Amy:biggrin2:
  4. I will check out your blog - and thanks again:)!
  5. Hey there! I thought it was great that there was a thread out there for people getting banded this month. I am very excited about the surgery - but not sure what to expect, or how I will feel afterwards. For anyone that has gotten banded already this month - how did you feel physically right after your surgery and the week following? I would like to know what I am about to feel....:confused2:
  6. I am so excited I could just burst! This is my first blog ever - but I just had to share my nervousness and my excitement at the same time. This is going to be such a life changing event - and I cannot wait to feel good on the outside and on the inside! More news to come soon! Just prepping for my liquids next week and on my low carb diet until Sunday. Sunday is "D" day for my first day of liquid diet. That is the day before my surgery and I am sure I will be fearful of the next day. I pray that this is a success - and will change my life for the better. I acknowledge that the lap band is just a tool, but one that I can use for the rest of my life! Best wishes to everyone out there making the decision to get surgery. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. I know everyone will look and feel fantastic soon! Luv, Amy:thumbup:
