I had surgery in TJ on 6/23/16 so I'm heading into my 3rd week post-op. I can't say enough about how well we were treated (there were 5 of us) throughout our stay. From the driver to Sandra the patient coordinator on that side to all the staff including Dr. Lopez. Even the staff at the Marriott were wonderful. Day after surgery, my roommate and I walked from the recovery boutique (2nd floor of the hospital) to the Wal-mart which is about a block and half from there. Only pain I personally felt was from the dang drain. Once that was pulled on Saturday the 25th, I felt instant relief. Sandra took us shopping on Saturday at Revolution St. which was fun. There is a book in the recovery boutique...don't forget to sign it! We did. If you haven't already joined his FB support page do so. My PCP gave me Contrave which is a diet pill 8 months ago to lose weight and one of the side effects is you lose the desire to smoke. I quit smoking the 3rd week and kept taking the pills for 2 more weeks. I haven't smoked since.
