    Post-Up Binders

Ok, so I found the link to the one I ordered from Amazon. I liked that it was long and held in as much as possible. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B009GPZF96/?tag=googhydr-20&hvadid=153676477165&hvpos=1t1&hvnetw=g&hvrand=9509689672747558083&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=e&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9032489&hvtargid=kwd-48468491719&ref=pd_sl_311r6hwi5m_e

    Post-Up Binders

Yes, I used an abdominal binder after surgery. I had ordered one on Amazon. It was an absolute lifesaver. I am so glad I ordered one, since my hospital didn't provide one to me. I had a few sneezing fits in the weeks after surgery and the binder helped them not to hurt so badly. I wore mine all day and night no matter what, only taken off to shower, and my hubby would throw it in the wash on quick cycle so I could get it back on. I work a thin wifebeater tank top under it so that I didn't have to wash it everyday, and so that it wouldn't rub my incisions. I would highly recommend ordering one, just read the reviews before you purchase, some aren't that good of quality. I forgot which one I got specifically, I just know that I typed in abdominal binder in when I searched Amazon. I ended up getting a firm support one. Hope I could help! Good Luck and safe Surgery!
  7. OMFG, I totally just noticed how dirty my mirrors are in my pics too!! No shame! At least you look good, no one is paying attention to the mirrors! You look amazing BTW. That's such a big difference already. Keep up the good work!
  8. EWE! I just noticed how dirty my mirrors are!!! Sorry guys, Ill clean them before I attempt anymore pics! HAHAHAA.

Started at a size 22-24 Currently in a size 8/M My shoe size went back down from an 11 to a 10 which is very exciting for me! I have some loose skin on my tummy, and under my arms, my butt and thighs are also kinda saggy, but I'm working on those now with some kettlebell workouts.
  10. Ya, I got a new one, since my one from my c-section wasn't firm enough. I will say that my incisions after VSG hurt more than after my cesarean. So maybe get a firm abdominal binder just in case. I was vomiting the entire time I was in the hospital, but when I got home, I only needed to take my anti nausea pills for like 2 days. After that I was good. I did sneeze and cough a lot though. Sooo painful. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using the BariatricPal App

  13. Yes, the recovery has been awesome. Apart from the initial healing process. I felt totally back to normal about 6-8 weeks after surgery. And thank you!! I feel so much better! I edited the post to add some extra before pictures I found after I posted the original. I am so proud of how far I've come. I wish all of you the best and a smooth surgery and recovery! Remember to buy an abdominal binder before surgery though, that helped me soooo much during the healing process.
  14. Hey Everyone, It's been quite awhile since I started this Thread, and since Ive posted on it. Would you do it again?

Thanks so much for all the support. I do hope it gets better, and it could be the hormone dump since my stupid period has been crazy since surgery too. I dont mean to discourage anyone from getting surgery, just giving my honesty. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using the BariatricPal App

    Would you do it again?

No, I wouldnt. Yes, I'm losing weight like crazy, yes, I feel healthier, and am healthier, but no, I would not do it again. I would work my ass off and just stick to the pre-op diet to lose weight. I just have a weird feeling every single day that I wake up. I dread eating because of the pain, yet long to taste flavor. I'm only 26, so I feel like I should have buckled down one last time and tried to lose on my own again. I'm only 1 month post op, so this feeling could go away soon, but for now I wish I had never gotten the surgery. Nothing tastes good to me, and my biggest concern is that I can't chug Water anymore without severe pain. I also get nauseous every single time I have to take a Vitamin. I'm sure one day I'll come to appreciate the pouch, but for now it's my worst enemy. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using the BariatricPal App
