Ok it's a tiny piece string sticking out of the port incision at the corner. I have tried to pull it and it's grown into my skin. I was banded 4/11/08. I haven't been back to dr. at all. no fills no calls notta. I am going to call monday for fill hopefully I can get in thursday this is the only day they do them. I have lost 34lbs I am hoping they will even fill me. Does anyone else have string issue? Probably not, huh? This would be my luck.

:thumbs_up: OK so I am headed to Dallas tomorrow night for surgery friday 4/11. I have cardio appt and surgeon appt thursday and then I'm ready!! It's finally here!! yeah I was supposed to have it done 3/21 but Dr. office filed my papers with another persons request cause the last names were the same. So I've had to wait. So here I go!!

Hi I am from Monroe, La I am having band on March 21 in Dallas. Looking forward to it but also nervous as all others have said. I had a melt down yesterday wondering if i'm going to be able to do this. I LOVE to cook LOVE food I come from a cooking mom that could make dog poo taste good (if she tried) Her and I cater events I'm telling you LOVE food. I am also supposed to be a judge for my sons boy scout troop cook off in April but it's looking like that will not be possible. I am 33 5'8" 250 lbs. when I married my husband 10 years in April I was 130 lbs. So I want to be cute again! Yes I know I have issues but ....I have also had 2 wonderful boys that are VERY active (3 & 9) 3 step children 15,20,23. So never really found time for myself to excersize eat on the run and bad genes! Thus 250 lbs! I'm here to share my issues and listen to yours Thanks!!

Just got my date 3/21/08. Haven't had time to process just made decision to band last week. I'm on the FAST TRACK!!

:lol:YEAH!! Will be banded 3/21/08. I am very excited go for all labs and ekg 2/28/08. This is all moving really fast I made the decision to have the band last week. Made appt for today found out insurance wouldn't pay for psyc eval. or 1st consult. So I cancelled that appt called a friend who just had it done got the # of the dr. called got the date and appt. All I have to pay is 2 copays of 30$ and $853 for surgery!! I think I have some luck working for me today!! Thanks for listening!

I made an appt yesterday my appt is 2/26/08!! I can't wait. Don't really know what to expect. It is covered by insurance they tell me and they had a lady that just had this done with the same insurance I have and she paid only 300$. I hope this is true. But we will see. If you have any advice please let me know what to expect. Thanks
