I seriously can't believe it! Crying from Happiness!
I can't believe it guys! I really can't! I am seriously crying tears of joy. When I started this process I was 540 pounds (I'm 5'10) and I wore a size 36/38. As a lot of you know I had my panniculectomy on June 5th and they removed 15 pounds of skin. Before my panniculectomy I wore a size 22 bottom and 14/16-18/20 top. I had bought smaller sized pants before my surgery because most of my pants were held up by my extra skin flap. Guys...I fit into a size EIGHTEEN!!! And I look super good!! I'm attaching some before and after pictures for you guys to enjoy! I can't believe this is real life! My stomach is flat!! (Please excuse my one drain in my one picture!)

SV and NSV
I have a few NSVs to celebrate: 1. I walked past a mirror and did a double take. For the first time in many many years my first thought was "wow! You are actually really pretty!" Instead of the usual "ugh so fat" or "you look okay today but you are still fat" I'm going to be conceited today and say I am pretty [emoji23] 2. I went to a jewelry stand with my friend who is pretty skinny and we have the same ring size! I now wear a size 8 ring when just a year ago it was a size 14! That made me feel really skinny! 3. This is a scale victory but I'm at the point where I've actually lost more weight than I weigh right now! I am down 279 pounds and I weigh 261! I started at 540! I am just feeling awesome today!

Anyone on here have their sleeve around my weight?
I started my journey in October of 2015. At my first appointment I weighed 540 pounds. At surgery on 5/29/16 I was 480. I am now a year and a month out and I weigh 265! I have now lost more than I weigh. I've lost 275 pounds. Even though I'm not at goal I just had a panniculectomy on June 5th. Insurance covered it. I had to get it off now because it was so large it was giving me a lot of trouble. They removed over 15 pounds of skin. It was the most my surgeon has removed. Good luck to you!

sick
There's a possibility but it's still a week out. I had a panniculectomy on June 5th. Guess who got the flu the week before...yup me. I told my surgeons office and they just checked on me the day before and said it would be fine. It depends what your symptoms are. If you are all congested they could cancel it. Really the only thing you can do is she was symptoms you have at the time of your surgery. It usually anesthesia that would cancel the surgery over the surgeon. I hope it clears up soon!

Looking for perspective
I lost 22.5% 5 months out if I'm only counting weight lost from surgery. If I include the 6 months before it's 31.1% I am now a year out and I am down 44.6% since surgery and 50.7% if I include the 6 months prior. [emoji5]

Panniculectomy?
I was in the hospital 2 nights. But I had a high risk of complications. He gave me and over 50% chance of wound complications because of the condition of my skin and medications I was on.
